June is Men’s Health Month, a crucial time to heighten awareness of preventable health issues and encourage early detection and treatment of diseases among men and boys. Recognizing and addressing men's health problems isn't just a men’s issue—it affects everyone and serves as a reminder that proactive health measures can lead to longer, healthier lives. This includes not only physical health but also mental health. Many men face challenges like PTSD and trauma, and often suffer in silence. It's important to foster an environment free from stigma and judgment. Let’s support the men in our lives by promoting regular check-ups, a healthy lifestyle, and open discussions about both physical and mental health. #MensHealthMonth #PreventativeCare #MentalHealth #PTSD

On Mental Health Awareness Day, we’re reminded of the importance of creating meaningful connections between mental health patients and their providers. For many, feeling dismissed or misunderstood in healthcare settings is a common experience, especially for those managing mental health conditions. 🧠 We recently conducted a study of over 800 patients, that had some pretty interesting results... 👀 At Human Health, we believe that technology can play a critical role in improving these interactions. By providing tools that facilitate better communication and personalized care, we can help bridge the gap between patients and providers, ensuring that everyone’s voice is truly heard. When patients feel understood, trust grows—and with trust comes better outcomes and a healthier future for all. 💜 Read more about the study below, or in the white paper here: https://lnkd.in/ggkvkBsw #MentalHealthAwarenessDay #PatientAdvocacy #PersonalizedCare #MentalHealthMatters #HealthcareInnovation #TrustInHealthcare

We talk a lot about the importance of mental health, but what about the impact healthcare itself has on it? I'm talking about the fear and anxiety that can come with a hospital visit, especially after a traumatic experience. It's the fear of going to sleep at night because you don't know if you will wake up. It's that nobody will listen or take your concerns seriously. It's that they #neglected and #abandoned you when you were the most vulnerable. They took away your sense of safety and left behind a shell of worry and doubt. Of fear and trauma. I'm talking about the need for #empathy and #understanding from healthcare professionals, something I've desperately needed in my own journey lately. We need to do better. Our minds deserve the same care and respect as our bodies. I've dedicated my career to caring for others, pouring my heart and soul into #nursing. I've always believed in the power of empathy and understanding, especially when it comes to #healthcare. But lately, I've been grappling with the other side of the coin: the impact healthcare itself can have on #mentalhealth. My own experiences with #PTSD have opened my eyes to the #fear, #anxiety, and even #trauma that can stem from seeking help. It's heartbreaking to admit that those experiences have shaken my faith in a system I used to believe in wholeheartedly. It's a constant reminder that we need to do better - for both patients AND healthcare professionals. We need to prioritize mental health alongside physical health, fostering empathy, respect, and unwavering support every step of the way. This is a conversation I'm deeply passionate about, and I'm ready to use my voice to #advocate for #change. Let's connect and work together to create a healthcare system that truly cares for the WHOLE person. DO BETTER #BannerHealth #MentalHealthMatters #HealthcareReform #EmpathyInHealthcare
