We are officially one week out from DBU Giving Day! Giving Day is our annual 24-hour fundraising event that allows you to directly impact the lives of DBU students. These funds go directly to student scholarships, athletic teams, departments, colleges, and the areas of greatest need around campus. Your gift enables us to achieve our mission to provide Christ-centered higher education to students from all walks of life and continue to produce servant-leaders committed to transforming the world. Here is how you can partner with us on Giving Day to support DBU: 1. Go to dbu.edu/giving-day on May 2nd 2. Select the area that you are most passionate about (if you are not sure, we recommend donating to the area of greatest need) 3. Choose an amount that you are comfortable with (every single gift counts) 4. Complete your donation and watch as your generosity transforms lives 5. For the month of July, our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Albuquerque are hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help children in need begin the school year with all of the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will return to school and what the classroom will look like, they need your help more than ever. Families with children in K-12 spent a projected $519 per child on back-to-school needs last year. For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Donating new school supplies to children in disadvantaged communities will make an impact on their ability to begin the school year school-ready. Items we are collecting: -Pencils -Pens -Composition Books -Combination Locks -Scientific Calculators -5-Subject Notebooks -Tissues -Hand Sanitizer -Wet Wipes -Trapper Keepers -Colored Pencils -Markers -Protractors -Paint Sets -Glue Bottles -Notebook Paper -Highlighters -Scissors -Sharpeners -Pocket Folders To donate, simply comment below and we'll have a volunteer coordinate a donation pick up!! #TeamWhoIAm_Albuquerque

It's officially "back to school" season! 📚✏️ The Dana Carmel Group is kicking off the new school year by donating $20,000 to the Menlo Park City School District and Menlo Atherton High School to support my children’s schools and our local community. I am a long-time, active Foundation member, and I know how much our school districts rely on Foundation support to provide quality education. Funds raised provide additional teachers, specialists, programs, and tools that make our schools extraordinary places for learning. That’s why we will donate $1,500 to your local school Foundation when you buy or sell a home with The Dana Carmel Group. This benefits both home values and school districts. A report by the National Bureau of Economic Research titled, “Using Market Valuation to Assess Public School Spending,” found that for every dollar spent on public schools in a community, home values increased by about $20. Education unlocks potential, but financial barriers often block deserving students' paths—especially for first-generation and undocumented scholars. That's why we at Mission Graduates are proud to partner with the Mission Promise Neighborhood to provide critical support for students at John O'Connell High School. Our goal is to bridge the higher education gap. Even with traditional financial aid, students face tuition gaps, application fees, and technology costs.
