At #Treescape, we believe that achieving SDG 5 (Gender Equality) is critical for a sustainable and inclusive future. Gender-based violence (GBV) remains a global challenge, and we are committed to taking action: 🌱 Engaging women as leaders in our tree planting and conservation efforts. 🌳 Promoting sustainable livelihoods to reduce economic dependency. 🤝 Advocating for gender-responsive policies and awareness in our communities. This year, we stand in solidarity to say NO to GBV and foster a future where every individual can thrive safely and equitably. Let’s create a world that is not only greener but also safer and more inclusive for all. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #SDG5 #GenderEquality #ChangeLives

The more #gender inequality there is in a country, the hungrier its people are. More than 50% of the people the World Food Programme serves are women and girls, but that’s not enough. Food security solutions must prioritise #gender equality. By addressing the root causes of gender inequalities through #gendertransformative approaches, we can better combat food insecurity for everyone, everywhere.

As we celebrate 16 days of Activism Against Gender based violence, part of our commitment to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), the fight against GBV remains at the forefront of our activism. Despite progress in laws and awareness campaigns, the global statistics remain devastatingly high. The COVID-19 pandemic intensified the "shadow pandemic" of violence against women, further exposing systemic issues. But there is hope. Sustainable change is possible through: Strengthened community-based interventions. Legislation that aligns with international standards and rigorous enforcement. Awareness campaigns that dismantle harmful norms and empower survivors. While there is progress through awareness and legislative reforms, persistent challenges such as resource scarcity, lack of services for survivors, and societal stigma underscore the complexity of the fight. The image is designed to provoke thought and action, asking whether we're progressing or struggling against the tide. #16DaysOfActivisim #EndGBV #16DaysOfActivisismAganistGenderBasedViolence #EndViolence #HumanRights

Considering factors related to gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) is critical in the drive to end neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), which affect more than one billion people worldwide. Understanding the different ways in which women, men, youth, and persons with disabilities are vulnerable to and experience NTDs better equips us to control and eliminate them. #Gender #Equity #InclusiveDevelopment #EndNTDs #Inclusion
