In-house lawyers, what are you doing on 22 May 2024? Why? Because that's the day of the "official" Thrive Legal Community Launch Event and not only have we booked the sunshine 🌞, we've also asked Sarah Furness, an inspirational former combat helicopter pilot, to come along and deliver a session on the leadership lessons she learned from the frontline. Those that follow Being Human Consulting Ltd will know that we are passionate about sharing learnings from across industries. When I met with Sarah to plan the session I was explaining to her how challenging it can be trying to juggle the personas of an inhouse lawyer - being liked and relatable v being "guardian of compliance". She smiled and said, "you're not alone" and we spent the next hour talking about how we can face our biggest fears, leverage our imposter syndrome and lead authentically and skilfully. I'm hugely excited to be sharing Sarah's experience on these topics with our Community on 22 May. We'll also be sharing our roadmap for the Community and how we plan to support in-house lawyers to thrive. And providing nibbles and drinks. In the sunshine! (Hopefully.)
