Thank you to all Participants from all across east, central and southern Africa for generously sharing your insights. Over the past three days, we have engaged in an insightful workshop on IATI data and our next strategic plan. Here’s a recap: Day 1: We explored the essence of IATI and the diverse demands of our stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in aid delivery. Day 2: We delved into the IATI Standard and tools, enhancing our understanding of how to make aid data more accessible and usable. Day 3: We focused on strategic planning, considering emerging trends in the financing landscape and global geopolitics. We discussed the need for a dynamic approach to ensure IATI remains at the forefront of aid transparency. As we move forward, we must address the current gaps in aid transparency and continue improving data quality. By leveraging technology and partnerships, we can shape a future where IATI serves as a one-stop shop for development finance data. Let’s continue to advocate for transparency and accountability in aid delivery. Together, we can achieve transformational impact! 💪✨ #IATI #AidTransparency #StrategicPlanning #GlobalDevelopment #DataQuality #FutureOfAid

Want to learn how survivor-centered #SEAH investigations can improve outcomes, rebuild trust, and hold perpetrators accountable? Catch up on the CHS Alliance event from #HNPW2024! 5 takeaways: 🟡 Guided by the "do no harm" principle, the survivor-centered approach prioritizes safety, respect, and survivor well-being. 🟡 The presence of trained investigators who are women can encourage others to report SEAH incidents in societies where cultural norms may make speaking out more difficult. 🟡 Providing accessible training for local and national #CSOs will increase access to survivor-centered investigations globally. As Tiheyis Tibebu highlights below, this is crucial for expanding reach. 🟡 To date, IQTS has trained individuals across 70+ countries (and counting). 🟡 CHS Alliance is launching a community of practice to support newly-trained investigators as well as a roster of investigators. 🌟 Localization thrives at the intersection of collaboration and innovation. Through the Resilient Civil Society Activity (RSA), we’ve seen firsthand how spaces that promote collective creativity can strengthen local systems. A powerful example of this is the "Idea in Action" contest. This activity brought together civil society organizations (CSOs) and private sector leaders to co-design innovative solutions to local challenges. By fostering dialogue, creativity, and partnership, Idea in Action encouraged organizations to think outside the box and build alliances that drive sustainable change. 🔹 The result? Solutions that are locally rooted, collaborative, and action-driven—proof that when local actors connect across sectors, they amplify their impact and strengthen their communities. 💡 Localization is not just about who delivers the solutions but how those solutions are designed—together. I am proud to support initiatives like these that showcase the power of partnership, innovation, and local leadership. 🚀 #Localization #Innovation #Collaboration
🌟 Building Partnerships: Lessons from USAID’s Innovative Civil Society-Private Sector Collaborations in Mexico USAID/Mexico’s Resilient Civil Society Activity (RSA), implemented by FHI 360 with Social Impact as a sub-awardee, is transforming how civil society organizations (CSOs) and the private sector work together. Through the Recognition of Collaborative Innovation, RSA has created impactful partnerships to address social issues. 🤝 Why Partnerships Matter: In Mexico, CSOs and the private sector combine strengths to develop solutions. CSOs bring local insights, while the private sector offers resources and expertise, leading to sustainable progress. 🚀 How RSA Made It Happen: RSA invited CSOs to propose partnership ideas. Five organizations were selected and presented their proposals to private sector allies, receiving feedback and commitments for collaboration. 🏆 The Results: These partnerships secured mentorship, technical assistance, and financial resources, driving social impact with continuous support from FHI 360 and Social Impact.
