Good job, Q-Free. Using real-time data to adjust traffic signal timing is an excellent example of useful and effective ITS. The press release on your website gives interesting details. The only thing I didn't like is the use the abbreviation ATC in "ATC controller". It's not that it's clumsy; e.g. in "Q-Free ATC controllers (advanced transportation controllers)" - i.e. one most read it as "controllers controllers". No, it's that ATC means "Automatic Traffic Control", e.g. in the phrase "ATC system for point and average speed enforcement". Don't confuse the ITS world, so please leave the ATC abbreviation to companies like Signatur ITS AS and Sensys Gatso Group. (I was a bit ironic :-)

Pivotel and the Connectivity Innovation Network (CIN) have been recognised as Merit Recipients for the pilot Large Area WiFi project in the #Technology Platform category at the NSW iAwards.   The Large Area WiFi solution is designed to connect up to 100 users to reliable ubiquitous #voice and #data #connectivity across an area of up to two square kilometres, when unforeseen events render traditional #communication services unavailable. Utilising #satellite backhaul and a standalone power system, the rapidly deployable network can operate wherever it is required, including during emergency situations.   The state-of-the-art solution is available in various form factors, including in transportable cases, installed in vehicles or on specialised trailers, and can be obtained via outright purchase or as an asset as a service.
