Did you know #microalgae are a form of #sustainableprotein that can offer solutions to #cellularagriculture? Join Diego Atoche Garay, TUMCREATE's #Proteins4Singapore (P4SG) Research Associate, working on algae biomass production at the Cellular Agriculture Showcase: Uniting Science and Innovation 2025 on 23 January. One of the goals of our #P4SG project under Topic 1 on Raw Materials is to develop microalgae-based proteins for food formulations. This process begins with the sustainable and efficient cultivation of microalgae, ensuring optimal growth conditions and resource utilisation, specifically designed for Singapore’s urban landscape. Diego’s poster presentation will introduce our innovative indoor cultivation system, designed to enhance growth and productivity, along with our promising initial results. ⏰ Looking for a new #event to participate in #January #2025? This should be on your list: https://lnkd.in/gjMuS3Sz (student discount available with code: student) 🗣️ Ongoing research work for cellular agriculture tends to remain only at the industry and academia level, leaving students with little to no exposure on the current developments. That's why Diego Atoche Garay, Research Associate at TUMCREATE’s #Proteins4Singapore (P4SG) will be joining APAC-SCA (Student Chapter)’s Cellular Agriculture Showcase: Uniting Science and Innovation 2025 to present the optimisation of microalgae cultivation systems for biomass production and protein yield. The P4SG research introduces Diego’s and his team's innovative indoor cultivation approach, designed to enhance growth and productivity, and presents some of the promising initial results achieved through its system. ✍🏼 Happening on 23 January 2025, 6PM-9PM, join Diego Atoche Garay at SGInnovate's space - 32 Carpenter Street Singapore 059911 - for a night of adventure into the current research on cellular agriculture (#cultivated #meat and #seafood, #precision #fermentation) with 9 other experts in the field. Covering biosciences, regulations, and consumer perception, this is your chance to interact and network with the industry for your future. We are thankful for the support from APAC Society for Cellular Agriculture (Calisa Lim Peter Yu), School of Applied Science, Temasek Polytechnic (Rufaihah Abdul Jalil James LIM Yong Kian), The Good Food Institute APAC (Arin Naidu), and SGInnovate (Samantha Fong)!
