But how do you get the right mindset for innovation in a company?   Sebastian Hoppe joined Grünenthal in 2022 in the Global IT department and was soon recommended for a Planning Lead role in the Commercial organisation. Last week, the #Dortmund to:DO action week occurred, serving as a remarkable platform to deliberate on the future of work within the city of Dortmund. In a panel discussion featuring representatives from major corporations based in Dortmund, spanning sectors like insurance, #IT, and industrial #greenhydrogen, we explored our principal strategic challenges. A unanimous conclusion emerged: there's a marked scarcity of specialists, particularly those with backgrounds in IT, engineering, or science. At thyssenkrupp nucera, we're proudly committing to Dortmund by keeping our headquarters here. Over the past three years, we've tripled our team in Dortmund and continue to expand, providing job opportunities that propel the energy transformation forward. A primary #toDOs is to continously support and enhance the academic landscape, which serves as the foundation for nurturing young talent. 📌 ETERNAL | 24-month GENERAL ASSEMBLY ▶ Excited to announce that Mario López and Montse Domingo, PhD, recently represented us at the insightful project #ETERNAL meeting, organized by Reig Jofre, IRIS Technology Solutions, and ASPHALION in Cornellà (#Barcelona). Over two days, the partners dived into six in-depth #cas studies and received #keyupdates on the advancement of multiple work packages. ▶ Beyond the productive sessions, they had the chance to explore some of the iconic sights around #Cornellà and tour the incredible #ReigJofre and #IRISTechnologySolutions facilities. It was truly inspiring to work alongside such talented individuals and organizations, all contributing toward common goals with #passion and #expertise. ▶ As part of the #ETERNAL project's digitalization strategy, ASPHALION has been focused on the argumentation and discussion of a #regulatory compliant-by-design approach proposing new key drivers in regard to the potential #regulatorypathways or relevant #regulatoryframeworks for the required “compliance-by-design” strategies applying the concepts of “#greenerdesign”. Exploring Innovation... At the invitation of Arndt Kirchhoff, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the KIRCHHOFF Group, leading business journalists from Germany visited our plant in Gliwice, Poland. With nearly 1000 employees, the Gliwice plant is our largest and features all of our key technologies. Arndt Kirchhoff aimed to highlight the exceptional setup of our Polish plants and the favorable business conditions in Poland. For instance, the tax burden and labor costs in Poland are significantly lower. The metal and electrical industry in Poland in 2023 was 45.5% above the pre-crisis level of 2018, whereas in Germany it was 5.4% below. Arndt Kirchhoff's message stresses the need to enhance industrial location factors for the future.
