Signs From the Universe
Many of us believe in a higher power that guides our lives—whether it’s the universe, God, or both, or whatever you want to call it. When we’re in doubt or seeking reassurance that we’re on the right path, we often ask for a sign.
I’m a big believer in signs! Yesterday, as I was driving to a meeting, I asked the universe for a sign to give me reassurance on something important. My request? To see a deer.
Living in Colorado, you’d think spotting a deer might be easy, but in my neighborhood, it’s rare. As I’m leaving my house, I saw a Christmas-lit deer on a neighbor’s lawn, then a giant inflatable deer. I laughed and thought, “Okay, universe, that’s cute, but I need something less obvious.” So I got specific: “Show me a deer that’s not part of a holiday decoration.”
As I went about my day, I looked, but no deer appeared. I reminded myself to stop searching so hard—it’ll come when it’s meant to.
Later, I found myself stuck behind the same truck multiple times. At one stoplight, I finally looked at its license plate. And there it was—a tiny deer emblem staring right at me. Of all the over 50 custom plates available in Colorado, this one felt like it was meant to cross my path.
It was a powerful reminder: sometimes we search so hard for answers that we overlook what’s right in front of us.
Have you ever experienced a moment like this? I’d love to hear your stories about the signs that guided you!
