The Model Agreement has been developed with the input of air carriers, and multinational and SME freight forwarding companies to clarify parties’ responsibilities and facilitate successful compliance in the complex reporting environment when using the option of “multiple filing”. FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations Director General Dr Stephane Graber said: "The launch of FIATA's Model Bilateral Agreement for Multiple Filing underscores FIATA's commitment to streamlining global trade processes through multi-stakeholder solutions. By clarifying roles and responsibilities between freight forwarders and air carriers, this agreement enhances efficiency and ensures compliance with evolving PLACI regimes worldwide such as the EU’s ICS-2, whilst strengthening data quality and preserving data sovereignty." #FIATA #aircargo #aircraft #freightforwarding

The #aircargo industry is currently falling back in #terms of #digitalization says Brendan Sullivan, International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s Global #Head of #Cargo. He was speaking at the World Cargo Symposium (#WCS) in Hong Kong. Calling #digitalization as the biggest #opportunity for #aircargo industry, he acknowledged that the progress is happening. Inefficient paper-based, #manualprocesses are being replaced with #digitalsolutions in all aspects of #cargooperations from tracking to customs clearance making international trade more efficient. #IATA's call to action for the #governments - #Governments must consistently implement global standards - #supplychain partners need to #collaborate to overcome shared challenges - entire industry must align to ensure a #unified and #effective approach to #digitalization Info Source - International Air Transport Association (IATA) We at SKY BHEX are focussed on #enhancing our #operations with #digitalsolutions, to know more - https://lnkd.in/dNCfJtE9 #cargocapacity #loadingcapacity #import #export #newfreighter #aircargo #cargomovement #freighforwarders #cargocapacity #freighter #aerospacelogistics #aircargoindustry #cargotrends #aircragoservices #freighters #freightforwarders #supplychain #logistics #aerospacelogistics #demandandsupply #airtravel #globalaircargoindustry #airfreight #logistics #markets #economy #china #aviation #transportation #supplychain #cargotrends #challenges

IATA provided their latest Air Cargo Market Update. Lots of positive takeaways: 🌐 IATA Global Air Cargo Market Update - April 2024 🌐 The air cargo market showed robust performance in April, continuing strong demand into the second quarter. Highlights include: 📈 CTK Growth: 11.1% YoY increase in Cargo Tonne-Kilometers (CTKs). 0.2% SA increase compared to the previous month. ✈️ International Traffic: 11.6% YoY growth, led by airlines from Asia Pacific and Europe. 📊 Capacity: 7.1% YoY increase in Available Cargo Tonne-Kilometers (ACTKs). Asia Pacific: Airlines from Asia Pacific recorded a 13.8% YoY growth in international CTKs, leading the global air cargo demand. This robust performance is driven by strong export activity and rising e-commerce demand. Key insights: Asia Pacific and European carriers were the main drivers, contributing two-thirds to the annual increase. The industry saw its fifth consecutive month of double-digit demand growth. Despite a minor 6.5% MoM reduction, the market remains strong. The persistent upward trend is bolstered by global e-commerce and capacity constraints in maritime shipping. 🔗 For more detailed insights, visit our website https://lnkd.in/gerR_RzS #AirCargo #Logistics #GlobalTrade #MarketAnalysis #Aviation #AsiaPacific

Hard Infrastructure + Soft #Infrastructure = Best Results Soft infrastructure is a crucial element of #transport corridors. As analyzed in the EDB report 'Eurasian Transport Network' (https://lnkd.in/eQjiff7g), progress in soft infrastructure leads to more freight traffic and less transportation and border waiting time. Сonvincing cases of how soft infrastructure is great value for money in the context of the #EurasianTransportNetwork are: - single logistics operator (UTLC along the Central Eurasian Corridor); - introduction of through rates (Middle Corridor); - legal harmonization based on UN conventions (CMR, TIR, WCO SAFE, etc.); - digitalization of transport invoices and customs declarations. If you have just one dollar and want to spend it on #connectivity (e.g. you are a state facing severe fiscal constraints), spend it on soft, not physical infrastructure. It is worth it.
