As we honour the resilience of the transgender community, we also recognize our collective responsibility to stand up against discrimination, be vocal advocates and allies, and actively champion equality. Being an ally involves understanding, empathy, and support. We must continue to educate ourselves on the issues that transgender people face, challenge stereotypes, and actively listen to and learn from the experiences of transgender individuals. Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility! 🏳️⚧️ International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an annual event taking place on 31st March and was created by trans activist Rachel Crandall in 2009. It is dedicated to celebrating transgender people & raising awareness of not only the discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide but also their contributions to society.
