Today marks my one-month anniversary at Accountancy Action, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share my journey with all of you. In this short span of time, I've successfully placed five talented individuals into new roles and survived the first of what I'm sure will be many team nights out at Hijingo Bingo which was an absolute vibe!. It's moments like these that truly solidify the bonds within our team and make coming to work each day an absolute pleasure. Celebrated my 3rd year work anniversary with my wonderful Finance team in a wedding 'team building' theme. Why this theme? Just like getting married, building a high performing team is anchored on trust, respect, and commitment. That we treat each and everyone as part of the team's success. That if one gets stumbled or becomes weak, you can count on the other members to hold you tight until you are back on track and can stand on your own feet again. As we come to the end of November and into our busiest month of the year (as well as last) I think it’s super important to reflect upon BIG and SMALL wins 🏅🙌🏼 My top 5 highlights have got to be: 1. Coming off the tools to run my business rather than being in the business. 2. Investing new equipment - a upholstery and carpet cleaner. We get to meet so many different businesses and people who we might not have been able to help before. 3. Learning new business strategies, networking and attending courses. (Being nominated for a national cleaning award) and having other cleaning businesses to lean on rather seeing them as competition. 4. Hiring our first ever admins assistant! After a very frustrating Q3 I sat during the Festive holidays reflecting on where we went wrong and what I could’ve done better. Did I chase the wrong clients? Did I price that job correctly? Why did I agree to discount that job? Perhaps I should’ve switched off from the business after all I don’t have much down time. However I’m buzzing to say I took these harsh lessons turning them into a positive and resulting in an amazing Q4. With our new financial year fast approaching we have a solid pipeline from our existing clients, new clients to develop and more importantly the knowledge and experience not to get caught out again.
