"In February, 2024, Twinkle Health Foundation led a team to Assin Nyankomasi-Nyamebekyere, revealing a stark picture of daily struggles. The absence of a health center puts lives at risk, as simple ailments become life-threatening due to distance and cost. Our team's observations were alarming: - High malnutrition rates among children - Prevalent teenage pregnancies due to lack of family planning - Limited awareness of sexual health, increasing STI risk - Rampant preventable diseases like malaria and hypertension But amidst the hardship, hope shines through. A health center could transform lives, providing: - Basic healthcare - Support for mothers - Education on preventive care - Empowerment for a healthier future We can't do it alone. Your donation is an investment in Assin Nyankomasi-Nyamebekyere's future. With your support, we'll build the health center, provide ongoing medical services, and empower the community. Together, let's build a healthier future where children thrive, families are healthy, and hope prevails. Donate today and be the reason a child receives the care they deserve. Visit our social media pages to learn more and support us to make a tangible difference in Assin Nyankomasi-Nyamebekyere. #RuralHealthMatters #HealthcareAccess #AssinNyankomasiNyamebekyere #GhanaHealthInitiative #TwinkleHealthFoundation #MakeADifference"

The thing about periods is they come around every month. Women, girls, and persons with the potential to menstruate (WGPPM) may be experiencing symptoms of a bleeding disorder without understanding that help and support is available. Symptoms of a bleeding disorder can include: heavy periods (changing your pad or tampon every hour), periods lasting longer than 7 days, easy bruising, and much more. Developed with the Eastern Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation, our WGPPM Tool Kit was designed to raise awareness, improve diagnosis, and enhance the quality of life for women, girls, and people with the potential to menstruate who have bleeding disorders. We need YOUR help to spread awareness and resources to those in need. Learn more about how you can help our WPGGM Initiative, check-out the digital tool kit, and donate to support WPBDF’s efforts at: https://lnkd.in/expgY9qP #WGPPM #PeriodActionDay #bleedingdisorders #toolkit #wpbdf

Each April, HHS observes National Minority Health Month and highlights the important role individuals and organizations can play in helping to reduce health disparities and improve the health of racial and ethnic minority and American Indian/Alaska Native communities. This year, we’re highlighting the importance of diversity in the blood supply. Diversity in the blood supply is important because certain blood types are unique to specific groups. Blood from a donor of a similar ethnic background is less likely to be rejected by a patient and often results in fewer complications after a transfusion. In addition, some people have rare blood types and need transfusions of compatible blood. You can help diversify the blood supply! Get information about donating blood or find resources to help you spread the word at hhs.gov/givingequalsliving. #GivingEqualsLiving #GiveBlood #DonateBlood #NMHM

With (a bit more than) half of November passed through, it is time to catch up on this 👇 In most developed and developing countries, men have a lesser life expectancy than woman. The reason is social before being medical: men simply pay less attention to their health than women. The usual line of reasoning being “yes, others can get sick, but not me”. Sorry guys, this does not work like that. Many diseases or mental issues can be treated, even by prevention, if the right consultations happen in due time. A simple screening can save your life. And that is all what Movember is about: to make men more aware of their health and how to preserve it. So go to doctors and get screened before you happen to leave behind your loved ones and friends way too early. (And if would like to help further, feel free to donate to the Cefic team. Our donation page has migrated to the EU site here: https://shorturl.at/z8I7x) #Movember #Health #Prevention #RaiseAwareness

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness of this disease that affects 1 in 9 Australian women, and many others who are transgender or gender diverse, or remain undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. What is endometriosis? It occurs when cells that are similar to the ones that line your uterus grow in other areas of the body. The symptoms of endometriosis can have a debilitating effect on quality of life. Diagnosis and treatment options are often invasive and uncomfortable, and there is no cure. Yet. March into Yellow is a fun and easy way to open up a conversation about the disease and an opportunity for our community to show support. March into Yellow encourages our broader community to show their support for the invisible illness by adorning themselves in the colour yellow. It is also a fun way to raise funds for Endometriosis Australia who support endometriosis education and research. #MarchIntoYellow2024 #EndometriosisAustralia https://lnkd.in/dRyHHzJ

#DYK more than 100,000 people are waiting for a life-saving organ in the U.S., and more than 60% of them represent racial and ethnic minorities? The need for organ donation and transplant is particularly prominent in minority communities where disproportionately higher rates of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease contribute to organ failure, especially kidney failure. As a part of our efforts to eliminate health disparities and advance equitable care, we encourage widespread donor registration to bridge the donation gap for multicultural communities. donatelife.net #MonogramHealth #CKD #ESKD #KidneyHealth #ValueBasedCare #EvidenceBasedCare #InHomeCare #PrimaryCare #SpecialtyCare #PolychronicCare #PolychronicConditions #Polychronic

On #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay, let us break the silence and eliminate the shame associated with menstruation. Millions of people worldwide lack access to safe and cheap menstrual products, resulting in limitations in education, opportunities, and even basic health. This is not only a biological process; it is a human right. Here is what you can do 👇 📌Educate yourself: Learn about menstrual health and hygiene. 📌Spread awareness: Talk openly about periods and challenge the stigma. 📌Support organizations: Donate to charities providing menstrual products and education. You can donate to the KNUST Chapter of our Club via Momo- 0555168818 📌Advocate for change: Demand policy changes that guarantee menstrual hygiene for all. 🎁 Day 9: The Prevalence of PANS PANDAS It’s estimated that 1 in 200 children could be affected by PANS or PANDAS, but the true prevalence remains unknown. Many children and adults go undiagnosed due to overlapping symptoms with other conditions, limited awareness among healthcare providers, and the misconception that this disorder only affects children. Adults, who may have lived with untreated symptoms for years, are particularly at risk of being overlooked. Your support can help raise awareness, improve diagnostic rates, and ensure that both children and adults get the timely care they need. Donate today to make a difference for families and individuals affected by PANS PANDAS. https://lnkd.in/geZyM5QT #UnwrapAwareness #PANS #PANDAS #ChildHealth #AdultHealth
