Business leaders should NOT be thinking only about their hiring strategy. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆'𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. Let me explain. When businesses try to grow, they get stuck in the race of scaling fast, filling roles ASAP, chasing after the so-called "top talent." But the frenzy to hire quickly is costing them more than they realize. By focusing on just filling seats, they are overlooking the power of influential hires, the game-changers who redefine how the job is done. As much as it takes more time, I see this to be a crticial piece of a company'a growth plan. The focus should entirely shift to bringing in people who challenge the status quo, spark innovation, and elevate the entire team’s performance. The current economic cycle is an opportunity to define what growth really means. Instead of measuring success by how many positions a business can fill or how fast they fill them, they need to ask: > Are these hires transforming our business or just maintaining it? > Do our recruitment metrics capture impact, or just headcount? > Are we building a team that can adapt and thrive in the future, or just plugging holes for today? > Is our current hiring strategy fueling sustainable success or just adding to the churn? This is what I see as the number 1 agenda of hiring in 2025: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
