For 10 years, we have been reporting on the evolution of life at home for people around the world through our Life at Home Report. The 2023 survey, presented in the IKEA store in Carugate, collects this year's results and analyzes the great changes that have marked life at home in the last decade. A decade of research, interviews, interviews with experts and visits to homes around the world that represent the experiences of over 250,000 people in 40 countries, including Italy, and that allow us to closely understand dreams and needs born within the home, for which we offer our solutions. Taking time out to fly more than 13 hours might sound difficult but Oslo is a great place if you want to do so. Late last month I was attending Oslo Innovation Week meeting super cool people but what made me took that flight more than anything was a promise to experience a different rhythm of life. Now back what I miss most is as simple as walking and clean air. Just to see how many people chose to walk or use public transport instead of personal cars is something we can adapt. An average Pakistani garage features at least a couple of motorcycles and a car. There are a lot who have cars with an s—because one just isn’t enough. Not blind to not see we don't have a super cool public transport system but that doesn't mean we can't walk when we only need to go two blocks away or something. When I talk with people, reasons I get include missing sidewalks, unsafe surroundings, stigma around walking and very subjective things. Now health guidelines suggest young adults to walk 10,000 steps or 8kms everyday. We either got to drill this in to our everyday routines or let that be a society park thing (not cool) - and yeah walking will improve that AQI.
