What makes an ideal retirement destination? Recent rankings have highlighted two Florida communities that are top choices for retirees in 2024. Sun City Center, located near Tampa, has been named the top place to retire in the U.S. Its appeal includes a warm climate, proximity to beaches, and easy access to big-city amenities. Homes are reasonably priced, and the community offers an array of recreational facilities and low HOA dues. The Villages also stands out, ranked fourth on the list, known for its numerous golf courses and vibrant lifestyle options. While these communities offer excellent amenities, it’s essential to consider factors like age restrictions before making a move. Choosing the right place to retire is a significant decision. Sheboygan makes a great #retirement community! A great article highlighting many of the benefits of small-town living. This article fails to mention the number of golf courses accessible, our amazing line-up of world-class dining, the fast-paced excitement of Road America race course and the Power Boat races on Lake Michigan, and a fabulous array of entertainment and art venues! "Retirement is the dawn of a new era for an individual. Up until now, they have had a schedule, a job, and a salary, but all that changes after retirement. One of the factors that matters during this change is the place where they settle down after retirement. A wise selection makes life easier, and Wisconsin's small towns are definitely warm and welcoming for retirees. What makes Wisconsin particularly appealing is its abundance of nature. Retirees can take advantage of the state’s many parks and trails in almost all the destinations, indulging in activities like fishing, hiking, and boating. Wisconsin's welcoming towns also offer a diverse range of facilities and amenities for retirees to live comfortably and enjoyably." https://lnkd.in/gVTfzJiU #womenandwealth #retirementplanning #stayactive #staysocial

Retirement is a word that suggests days of leisure, trading the daily grind for hobbies like gardening, reading, golf or travel. However, the process of retiring is not always so simple, you have to face a wide range of decisions when it comes to money. This is a task that most people need help and direction with. They need a professional who is familiar with the forms and the decisions that need to be made. These decisions are critical to your goals and the protection of your wealth during your retirement years. I have that experience with our First Responders from all areas. Not only am I an expert at navigating the FRS system, but I also have experience in assisting many other First Responders in our community that have private pension plans. Let me assist you through this process. I will inform and educate you on your choices as well as help you with the various forms that need to be submitted. This way you can concentrate on which hobby you want to start thinking about first. #LantanaPD

I have been working from the Kalyra Retirement Living office this week, which got me thinking about my own experiences with intergenerational households. Growing up, my grandmother lived with us, and I thought this was normal. However, as I got older, I realised that not everyone lived like this and that without us, my grandmother would be living alone. Looking back, it was a win-win situation for us all. When I moved to Australia, I was introduced to the concept of Retirement Villages. Having worked in the industry for nearly two decades, I have come to appreciate the ongoing benefits they offer to residents: 1️⃣ Sense of Community: Retirement villages provide a supportive and social environment where residents can interact with each other through activities, trips or simply by living in close proximity. 2️⃣ Security and Safety: Villages offer a secure and safe environment for residents to live independently for as long as they choose. 3️⃣ Refurbished Homes: Residents can enjoy the comfort of a manageable home that has been renovated before they move in. 4️⃣ Companionship and Camaraderie: Living in a retirement village introduces residents to new friends and interests, potentially increasing companionship and camaraderie. 5️⃣ Health and Wellbeing: Studies have shown that living in a community can lead to increased life expectancy and delay (or avoid altogether) the need for moving into a residential aged care facility. For me, the choice is clear. 🏡 Retirement villages offer not just housing but a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle. When I think about my future, I know where I will live once I retire. #RetirementLiving #HealthandWellbeing #TimeMakers #RetirementVillages #Community
