Earlier this week, Circular Economy Hotspot Cymru took place in Cardiff 🌏🏴 The event provided an opportunity for #Wales to showcase itself as a #netzero leader — highlighting its progress towards becoming the country of choice for producing sustainable goods and services 💪 We especially enjoyed listening to our CEO Ben Burggraaf talk about growing the circular and green economy. Our key takeaways include… 🤝 A circular economy could create 30,000 jobs in Wales. 🏭 For industry to decarbonise, it’s important to work alongside Government to establish a long-term strategy including a regional distribution of funding that is proportionate to that area’s waste. 💡We have the opportunity to use the abundance of natural resources that are on Wales’ doorstep — creating a cost-competitive energy source.

During #ClimateWeekNYC, industry leaders highlighted the importance of collaboration, public-private partnerships, and catalytic financing to scale forest-positive initiatives, demonstrating that agricultural production and environmental protection can coexist. The Sustainable Landscapes Partnership, supported by WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Soft Commodities Forum, The Consumer Goods Forum’s Forest Positive Coalition, and Proforest, has invested $5.2 million to engage over 600 farms, restore nearly 19,000 hectares, and protect half a million hectares for sustainable production. 🌍 At Agoro Carbon, we are proud to announce that our #regenerativeagriculture projects are undergoing validation to certify the sustainable development benefits under Verra’s SD VISta Standard. The SD VISta label, once obtained, will signify that our carbon credits not only offset emissions but also contribute to meaningful social and environmental outcomes—such as enhanced #biodiversity, improved #soilhealth, and thriving local communities. These verifications align our projects with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, adding tremendous value for carbon credit buyers who prioritize sustainability beyond emissions reductions. With a commitment to supporting farmers, ranchers, and ecosystems, we are excited about the impact these projects will have on building a healthier, more sustainable future.
