haped by my unique experiences at an Islamic boarding school for three years during junior high. Each facet of adaptability—interacting, achieving, learning, working, and thinking—has been a crucial part of my growth.
1. Achieving: My time in the boarding school was rigorous but rewarding. The strict environment pushed me to excel in various competitions, including English debate, storytelling, and public speaking. These achievements not only honed my skills but also instilled a sense of discipline that continues to guide me in my pursuits.
2. Learning: Immersed in a world where Arabic and English were the primary languages of communication, I was compelled to learn and use both daily. This experience not only improved my language proficiency but also enhanced my ability to adapt to new contexts and diverse communication styles.
3. Interacting: The boarding school was a melting pot of cultures, with students from various regions and backgrounds. Navigating this diversity taught me the importance of empathy and open-mindedness in interactions, skills that have proven invaluable in the collaborative environment at Bangkit.
4. Working: Managing my time and mental well-being was crucial in such a demanding setting. Waking up at 3:30 AM and sleeping at 10:30 PM, I learned the art of self-discipline and resilience. This routine has equipped me to handle the rigorous demands of the Bangkit program while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
5. Thinking: Living in a closed environment necessitated a shift in perspective. I learned to embrace different viewpoints and adapt my thinking to harmonize with those around me. This has enriched my problem-solving abilities and fostered a collaborative mindset.
The adaptability skills I developed in the boarding school have been instrumental in navigating the challenges of the Bangkit 2024 program. I am excited to apply these experiences to future endeavors.
