What a week for our beloved external fixator Galaxy for the treatment of proximal humerus fractures. 1) Despite the challenges faced over the years (I won’t say more), external fixation is positively revolutionizing the protocols for treating proximal humerus fractures. This new open article demonstrated that fixation achieved by the 6-pin system is good and allows for early mobilization (https://lnkd.in/dXDmaDXy). 2) External fixation for the treatment of proximal humerus fractures has rightfully entered the treatment options, alongside plates and nails.
