Recently, I studied about Color, Space, and Contrast. And, after that, I thought I should try to write my first blog on that. Please do share your thoughts - https://lnkd.in/epSxPrRn #day53 #120daysofdesigning #uiux #DailyUI #webdesigning

This is my biggest pet peeve - please name ur layers. If you can’t come up with a name, call it a row or column at the very least. If it’s a list, list items, list item, etc.. it just helps tremendously. This also helps when migrating your designs from Figma to ProtoPie - naming becomes even more important once you’re prototyping interactions that rely on unique names
Names are incredibly powerful. Learning the names of things is how we begin to communicate as humans. Names empower objects with purpose and meaning. It is no different in UI. Layouts will often require many divs and containers. When designing a layout, I’ve found it helpful to slow down and think about why I’m creating a new frame in the first place. Giving a UI element a name helps with my own understanding of what its purpose is. Not only that, but a well-named and organized layer list acts as its own documentation that both designers and developers will appreciate. #figma #uidesign #designtips

Can’t agree more this. Best handoff is no handoff!! Naming is such a essential baseline of communication. Without name(Proper naming), we can’t say that we are aligned.

Yup, I think programmers should definitely try UI in Figma as well, especially with autolayout. And especially using proper naming. You'll quickly start to see similarities between coding and UI, and if all goes well, you'll start to see HTML layouts mentally. Which can be a super help.

❗️UI Designers working with developers must see this. Proper structuring of the Figma project is just crucial for the efficiency of UI development. 📉When overlooked, a poor Figma project structure can be costly, destroying maintainability. A few hours saved in the beginning can lead to whole weeks wasted later just for fixing issues. 💡As a team leader, I also found that the quality of a structure in a design file structure inherently indicates a designer’s skill level.

🚀 The 0th step Anatomy of a Search Bar Design! 🔍 Designing a robust search bar goes beyond just a text field. Here’s a peek into my process for building a highly functional and user-centric search component. From defining variations (icon placement, button options) and states (default, hover, loading, error) to exploring properties like autocomplete, character limits, and even icon customization – every detail counts! This sketch captures the essential structure and thought behind each element. 💡 It’s all about creating seamless, intuitive experiences that adapt to user needs. Let’s talk about design systems and scalable UI components!
