I gelt the same about my ex wife, she was trying emotional abuse against me ans the kids. Luckily after calling the police many times we divorced, the kids are stable and have great careers, without her abuse to bring them down.

2wDomestic Abuse is not always physical. it can be emotional and psychological abuse. Verbal aggression, verbal abuse, mind games, humiliation, intimidation, threats, financial abuse, coercion, legal intimidation, stalking, harassment, covert manipulation, domination, power and control.. A perpetrator wants to win at all costs. Coercive control is a pattern of behaviour and is never one incident. This type of abuse can continue post-separation. Often they are obsessed with the target. It can include physical stalking and cyber stalking. Setting up fake social media profiles to spy on the victim. Post separation abuse can include legal intimidation. The filing of litigations against a survivor. In family court going through divorce or separation.. In civil or criminal proceedings filing false fabricated statements through unwitting solicitors is a form of harassment. Victims are rarely believed. I know as I have lived experience. the abuser will use the gaps in the laws to their advantage. They maintain control by using legal procedures. Abuses are played out in the Justice system. An abuser will think nothing of leaving a former partner homeless in poverty or want to see them sectioned or imprisoned.
