It is the 24th Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme is movement; moving more for our mental health 💜 Short bursts of physical activity can boost your mood and increase mental alertness and energy. So why not take a walk in your lunch break, stretch at your desks, move while the kettle boils and get a little exercise into your life. But most importantly, be kind to yourself! The Mental Health Foundation are sharing great tips throughout the week, and in general, on ways to improve mental health. #MomentsForMovement #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
Being mindful with your movement can help you maximise the mental health benefits. This starts with noticing how the movement makes you feel, both in your mind and body. This can help you feel more present and enjoy how movement makes you feel in the moment. Why not try a mindful exercise, like mindful walking or breathing? Remember to be kind to yourself when you try different activities. Movement is self-care. 💜 Get more movement tips: https://lnkd.in/eWQ2QGeQ #MomentsForMovement #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
