🌍 The ReBuild Ukraine fair, with exhibitors and delegations from 32 countries, has concluded, delivering valuable insights and updates on Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. ⚡ The energy conference on day two featured strategic leaders, including Oleg Pavlenko, CIO at NPC UKRENERGO, who outlined a new strategy focused on decentralizing energy resources. Vitaly Butenko, CEO of Energy Company of Ukraine (ECU), emphasized the resilience of Ukraine’s energy market, which continued to operate under immense pressure. A key takeaway: Ukraine has immediate potential for up to 6 GW of new wind capacity and critical needs for 2.4 GW in grid rebalancing or 2 GW in energy storage systems. 💡 Equally valuable were workshops led by European Commission representatives, focusing on private equity, energy, and war risk insurance. Panels expertly moderated by Orest Tokač and Charles-Antoine de Crombrugghe offered great insights into the Ukraine Facility and EU support of up to EUR 9.3 billion, with part of the funds earmarked for private equity.
