Whistleblower Summit & Film Festival celebrates Bill of Rights Day on December 15. The Bill of Rights was first ratified on December 15, 1791. Bill of Rights Day has been acknowledged as an annual observance every year since 1962. The Bill of Rights represents the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution. They include the Freedom of speech, press, and religion; the right to bear arms; freedom from search without a warrant; the right to an attorney; and many crucial others. WSFF stands firm with the Bill of Rights Day, especially towards the freedom of speech. WIthout these rights, whistleblowers cannot utilize their ability to voice their concerns and raise action against social injustices. Are you following the official Freedom Speakers International LinkedIn page? One of our long-term volunteers is now managing the page and uploading more updates. The latest update is about a video exhibition FSI hosted last year in New York City. It was too expensive to take 8 North Korean refugees to New York City. Instead, with a South Korean high school student as the lead curator, FSI had eight interviews with North Korean refugees and had a video exhibition in NYC. We plan to show the video exhibition at an event in Seoul next month, pending final approval.
