Donate Clothes 👗 If you have clothes you don't wear anymore, you can donate them to those in need. Find local clothing donation opportunities on JustServe! 3. Visit the Elderly 👴🏻👵🏻 Assisted living centers often love volunteers coming to visit with residents. Find a local assisted living center in need of volunteers and enjoy brightening someone else's day! 4. Plan a Park Clean-Up 🛝 Clean up trash or debris at a local park or cemetery with your friends! That day you forget to take your dump trailer.. A typical day in the life of a move manager. Work 10-2 then 3:30-7:30, the reason is that our seniors can’t work 8 hours in their homes so we do 4 hour shifts. The mornings from 8:30-9:30 are for dropping off donations or going to the dump.. sometimes both. What’s missing at Bridging? BLANKETS, especially the bed sized for twin, full, and queen beds. As client appointment levels rise, so does our need to adequately stock the shelves for shopping. We need 300 bed sized blankets available every week, for a total of 15,000 donated each year! When we say “blanket”, we mean comforters, bed spreads, and blankets. They cover a mattress completely, provide warmth, and support a good night’s sleep! Gently used and new donations are accepted. How can you help during the September Blanket Blitz? Continue to donate from your own home. Tell others in your network and neighborhood that we are in desperate need. Coordinate a blanket collection at work, school, or in your faith community. See Joel or Danyelle about hosting a blanket drive. Reminder: Yes, we accept throw sized blankets! But, we have a healthy supply of those and isn’t our greatest need.
