Homelessness in the West Midlands, including Warwickshire, has been increasing due to rising housing costs and limited access to affordable housing. From 2023-24, there was a 12.3% rise in households assessed as homeless or at risk, with approximately 178,560 households requiring immediate assistance across England, including a significant portion in the West Midlands. For Warwickshire specifically, organizations emphasize proactive intervention, from financial aid and rent deposit schemes to mental health support for those vulnerable to homelessness. However, resource constraints remain a challenge for both statutory and voluntary agencies in effectively managing homelessness (especially rough sleeping) across the county. As I work to aid Charitable children institutions in transitioning towards family and community care, I often come across organizations dealing with children aging out of the care system. These children often lack independent living skills and encounter numerous obstacles, sometimes without supportive community networks. It's disheartening that they have to leave the system without the support and love of a family. Facilitating the search for suitable families for these children is crucial in ensuring their continued growth and well-being beyond institutional care. #carereform #familycare

The demand for safe relocation flights—whether for recovery, escaping danger, reuniting with family, or attending trial dates—persists across the many states we serve, regardless of the circumstances. TIS’ THE SEASON OF GIVING – although S&L do it continuously: S&L are a Civil Engineering and Land Development Consultancy - or as we like to refer to it, COMMUNITY CREATORS. Teardrops, a #Merseyside homelessness charity faces "imminent closure" due to a "perfect storm" of increased energy bills, wage costs and rent. The St Helens based group helps rough sleepers by providing hot meals, clothing and advice. They also provide local schools with food and uniform for children in need.
