Still deciding which university is right for you? Attending an open day is the perfect opportunity to help confirm your choice! Here are our top 5 reasons why attending a university #openday this summer is a good idea ✨👇 💭 1. Squash any doubts and have niggling questions answered: you'll be more confident in your decision, knowing that the university you've chosen is the one for you! 📍 2. Tour the campus: join a campus tour and see what facilities will be on offer. 📢 3. Talk to lecturers: this will help you learn more about the course you'll be taking, understand their teaching styles, and discover what modules will be available to you. 🤝 4. Meet the current student cohort: as well as lecturers and university staff, current students are also present at open days. They can tell you what it's really like to study at the uni, some come prepped with some questions. 🌼 5. Explore the local area: see what's around. You could be spending a lot of time there in the future, so get to know the surroundings - local libaries, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs might be of interest! 💃 If you'd like to do all of this at a Birkbeck Open Day, join us on 17th August from 11am-3pm. We'd love to meet you and help you decide if Birkbeck is the place for you 👋 Sign up here: https://ow.ly/BV1w50SMlrl #CampusTour #StudentLife #HigherEducation

Great to hear from my partner Liz Brownsell and Kieran Smith from Crowe UK at the Independent Schools' Bursars Association annual conference who have just been leading a breakout session about the considerations for independent schools considering diversifying their sources of income via trading subsidiaries. Lots of food for thought! If you are at the conference and haven't yet been to see us at stand 17 in the exhibition hall, please do come along! My colleagues, Abigail Trencher, Charlotte Sloan, Matthew Gowen and I would love to see you.

The panel will explore lessons learned and best practices from the transaction and include representatives from the university, Scholar, and the university’s advisor. 🗓 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 moderated by Eric Bram @ 12:50 PM in River Birch Ballroom B Procurement processes seek to maximize market interest from industry experts and secure competitive engagement terms that will serve as the foundation for productive partnerships. The approach to solicit market interest varies significantly and these differences have a direct impact on private market interest, the accuracy of proposals, and competitiveness of key terms.
