Rapid + TCT Wednesday keynote kickoff. Paraphrasing a quote I just heard from Avi Reichental at Nexa3D: “We have this idea that a part needs to come off a printer and be completely ready for use. We need to think about how to integrate additive components into existing production lines and assembly processes” ie it’s not all-3d-printed-or-nothing but comparing the technology alongside traditional processes and integrating it where it adds the most value.

An integral part to Vision148 is collaboration with specialist businesses who share our vision and to support our audacious plan and yesterday our scanning partners The 3D Measurement Company Ltd joined us at ASM Auto Recycling Ltd to generate a benchmark digital scan of the RS500. This is a key stage to begin to build the Digital Twin of the RS500 a tool that will enable reengineering and design phases, generate visualisations and the reasoning to help us make design decisions and manufacturing requirements.
