ZeCarb is a solution that has been developed by Messer Americas, a privately owned specialist for industrial, medical and specialty gases. This solution is an expansion to Messer’s product range and ZeCarb will help industries with high carbon dioxide emissions to decarbonise. Messer’s purpose is to capture carbon dioxide emissions before they are released into the atmosphere and the emissions that are captured, are then used in applications which are designed to reduce the use of fossil fuels. Messer focuses mostly on capturing Co2 emissions from steel, cement, glass, paper or chemical production, but the company also focuses on capturing emissions from fossil-fired power plants which produce electricity and heat. The article below focuses on an excellent development within the carbon industry, which not only reduces the amount of Co2 going into the atmosphere, but also provides a solution that allows the Co2 to be put to use. Trinasolar Sets Industry Benchmark with World's First Fully Recycled c-Si Module. We have some exciting news! Trinasolar has successfully produced the world's first fully recycled c-Si module. Our Research Center Academy's innovative self-developed recycling technology made this achievement possible, using high-value materials recovered from waste modules. Gao Jifan, Chairman, CEO, and Director of Central R&D Institute, emphasizes this as a clear demonstration of Trinasolar's commitment and responsibility to fostering sustainable development in the PV industry. This innovative module, made with multiple techniques and innovative technologies, uses n-type TOPCon technology and boasts a module efficiency of 20.7% and power output exceeding 645W, setting a new standard for the industry. Great News from the US! The Department of Energy (DOE) has decided to invest 50 (!) million into the circularity of the #hydrogen value chain. Last week the DOE announced the projects they have selected to reinforce American leadership in the growing hydrogen industry. One aspect of the hydrogen ramp-up is to make it sustainable and cost effective – and that is why #recycling is a crucial pillar. We are proud to be part of the consortium led by AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers that is in charge to develop innovative and practical approaches to enable the recovery, recycling, and reuse of clean-hydrogen material and components. 50 million US Dollar out of a total of 750 million will go in the recycling part. A very respectable portion I would say, and this underlines how important recycling is. We will both contribute and learn in this project – contribute our know-how in #preciousmetals recycling but also for ionomer recycling. And together we will work out ways to recycle materials from the whole stack. I am excited to start! You want to learn more?
