𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚'𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 ~ China's middle class consumers have been tightening their purse strings, but their appetite for durian — pungent, spiky fruit mostly imported from Southeast Asia — continues to grow. In Chinese cities, durians have transcended their status as a fruit to become a fashionable choice for young consumers. The catering sector has responded with "everything can be + durian" promotions that have spawned a proliferation of durian-themed restaurants with offerings ranging from drinks and desserts to hotpots and buffets. On Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, topics such as "durian barbecue" and "durian buffet" have amassed more than 1.24 billion views. One brand in Guangdong province specializing in durian chicken hotpots has sold more than 2.22 million of them, and its durian burger has gained widespread attention on social media. A new variety of olive called Gemlik has stunned Pakistan's agricultural industry by producing a staggering 28.5% oil content, which is a record at the country's largest agricultural institution in Chakwal. Everyone is stunned because such percentages are hardly ever found in Italy and Spain. Gemlik olives are widely used in pizza and salad, and the oil is extracted for culinary purposes. This variety, originating from Turkey, has turned out to be very successful in Pakistan, especially in areas such as Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Galyat. The Gemlik olive is large in fruit size, which would add value to Pakistan's agricultural portfolio. This is one of the great successes in the cultivation of new crop varieties that enhance agricultural productivity in the country. . . . #GemlikOlives #OliveOil #PakistanAgriculture #Chakwal #AgriculturalSuccess #RecordBreaking #OliveVariety #HealthyLiving #PakistanFarming #OliveProduction #CulinaryDelights #GourmetOlives #Balochistan #KhyberPakhtunkhwa #OlivesInPakistan #Tribunetrends

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚’𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐔𝐩 𝟏.𝟕% 𝐈𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝟗 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 ~ According to data from the China Chamber of Commerce, China imported 6.03 million metric tons of fruit in the first three quarters of 2024, a slight decrease of 0.15% compared to last year. Meanwhile, the import value reached $14.34 billion, reflecting a 1.7% year-on-year increase. This modest rise in value underscores the strong consumer demand in China for high-quality fruit. Fresh sweet cherries totaled 357,800 metric tons, while fresh or dried mangosteens reached 263,400 metric tons. Fresh kiwifruit rounded out the top five with a volume of 137,600 metric tons. PEPPER PRICES TODAY, MAY 29: CONTINUES TO HOVER AT 120,000 VND/KG The domestic pepper market continues to remain stable in key localities, with transactions ranging from 119,000 to 120,000 VND/kg. Specifically, today's pepper price in Gia Lai is at 119,000 VND/kg. Pepper prices in other provinces are as follows: Dong Nai (119,000 VND/kg); Dak Lak (119,000 VND/kg); Dak Nong (119,500 VND/kg); Ba Ria - Vung Tau (120,000 VND/kg); and Binh Phuoc (119,000 VND/kg). Thus, domestic pepper prices today remain unchanged in key localities compared to yesterday, with the highest recorded price at 120,000 VND/kg. Compared to the average price of recent years, which was around 50,000 VND/kg, the current pepper price is nearly 2.5 times higher. If compared to 2020, when pepper prices hit rock bottom, the current market price is three times higher. For the export channel, pepper export prices in April 2024 marked the fourth consecutive month of increase, reaching 4,435 USD/ton, up 3% from the previous month and 40.4% compared to the same period last year. Overall, in the first four months of the year, the average export price of pepper reached 4,241 USD/ton, an increase of 37.3% compared to the same period. However, many farmers in Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau report that due to prolonged severe heat, productivity has decreased by over 30%. Additionally, around four years ago, when pepper prices were only 35,000 - 40,000 VND/kg, many long-established pepper gardens were replaced with durian and other crops with higher economic value. In some regions, pepper growing areas have been halved. As a result, even though pepper prices are high, farmers do not have much product to sell. The Moroccan market has recently opened up to U.S. seed potatoes, marking a significant shift in the dynamics of the seed potato trade. Traditionally, North African countries have heavily relied on EU seed potatoes. However, Morocco's decision to diversify its sources is expected to reduce demand for EU seeds, especially as the EU has experienced shortages this year. It will be interesting to observe the impact of accepting U.S. varieties by countries that typically import Moroccan potatoes. The upcoming season will reveal the outcomes of this strategic move. #Agriculture #SeedPotatoes #Morocco #USexports https://lnkd.in/dsXE9pYe

Strengthening India's Aquaculture & Seafood Exports: MPEDA's Key Budget Initiatives The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) highlights impactful budget proposals aimed at enhancing India's aquaculture and seafood export sectors. Customs duty exemptions on shrimp and fish feed inputs, including mineral and vitamin pre-mixes, krill meal, and algal oil, will boost industry competitiveness. Essential aquafarm inputs like Vannamei and black tiger broodstock will see reduced duties of 5%. The establishment of Nucleus Breeding Centres (NBCs) for shrimp broodstock, backed by significant financial support, promises to save the industry ₹150 crore annually. Approximately one lakh farmers will benefit from a 30% reduction in shrimp seed costs. NABARD will facilitate financing for shrimp farming, processing, and export, covering up to 80% of project costs with an interest subvention of up to 3%. Enhanced access to infrastructure development funds will benefit 639 export processing units, improving and expanding facilities. These measures are set to elevate the quality and international competitiveness of Indian marine products, contributing to last year's record seafood exports of over ₹60,000 crore. #Aquaculture #SeafoodExports #Budget2024 #MPEDA #IndiaTrade #GlobalCompetitiveness #ExportGrowth #GlobalTrade #EconomicGrowth #CEO #CFO #COO #CXO #Leadership #ExecutiveInsights #MarketStrategy #BusinessGrowth 🌍 Connect with international buyers and thrive in the export industry @ https://shorturl.at/S5C32.
