A solid piece of advice? Raise your hand. I’m not only talking practically, though I do encourage speaking up and sharing your perspective. Since April is #NationalVolunteerMonth, I’d love to talk about raising your hand to give back to your community. I’ve always encouraged my family to give back by volunteering, doing things within our power to make a difference in the community we live in. I view it as all of our responsibility to give back. At Silfex, we’re given paid time off to volunteer. I believe this is being part of the community we live and work in. One of the things I love most about our culture is seeing how much our team members give back to the community. When there is a call for help, we raise our hands. Recently, there were devastating tornadoes in our area. The team jumped into action – donating water and using volunteer time to help community members impacted by the storms. It’s inspiring. It makes me even more proud to work with the team. It makes me a better community member and it helps to build the culture of giving. What does volunteering mean to you? How does your organization support giving back to the community? How does that impact your employee experience? #Culture #GiveBack

In our last post, we highlighted Thrive SC, but we realize there are many people just trying to survive, let alone thrive. According to Feeding America, more than 44 million people in the US face hunger today. Fortunately, there is something we can do to help! One of the ways we can support, is by supporting a local nonprofit that feeds those in need. Meals on Wheels prepares over 1,200 meals and hand delivers them daily to local residents. Wow, what a mission! How can we help? Meals on Wheels can always use volunteers! There is always a need for kitchen prep and delivery of the meals. If those aren't an option for you, donations- no matter the amount, will directly impact another human being in the form of nourishment. We love seeing people and businesses thrive, but let's jump in and help others survive! #volunteer #greenvillevolunteer #mealsonwheels

The outpouring of support for Los Angeles during these wildfires has been nothing short of inspiring. Our community is coming together in incredible ways—volunteers are stepping up, organizations are collecting donations, and people are offering resources to help those affected. As we continue to rally around those in need, it’s important to remember that the recovery goes beyond just immediate aid. Many families rely on the hospitality and event industries for their livelihoods, and the revenue from events held in Los Angeles plays a critical role in supporting them. If you're planning an event, please consider moving forward with it, be mindful response times may take a bit to get back to "normal" but cancellation shouldn't be the solution. Canceling events in L.A. can impact families who rely on these industries to put food on the table and rebuild their lives. Our city needs that revenue to help with long-term recovery. Let’s continue to show our strength and resilience, not only through acts of kindness but also by supporting the local economy. If you're looking for ways to volunteer or donate, please check in with local organizations for updated needs. Every bit counts! If we're personal friends, i've been reposting and posting multiple ways to take action via my Instagram (or please feel free to message me and I will point you to multiple organizations doing great work) 360 Destination Group #SupportLA #CommunityStrength #EventIndustry #RebuildLA #Hospitality #Volunteer

In a world that moves at an unprecedented pace, with wealth disparities that previous generations could have never imagined, no one should experience food insecurity. To become a volunteer: 1. Visit the Second Harvest Volunteer Hub: [https://lnkd.in/gckaa_Kb) 2. Sign in or create a new account 3. Browse available opportunities that match your interests and schedule 4. Sign up for your chosen activity and follow the instructions provided 5. Attend your volunteer shift and know that you're making a meaningful impact in the lives of those facing food insecurity Join me in supporting this important cause, and let's encourage others to get involved and spread awareness about food insecurity. YOUR SUPPORT MEANS A LOT, ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON: ✅ Strengthening Community Bonds: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives during the holidays help build stronger, more connected communities. By supporting local organizations, businesses foster a sense of unity and shared purpose. ✅ Providing Hope and Relief: The holiday season can be a challenging time for many families. CSR efforts, like volunteering or donating, bring hope and relief to those in need, reminding everyone that they’re not alone. ✅ Inspiring Collective Action: When companies lead by example, they inspire others to contribute, creating a ripple effect of generosity that benefits entire neighborhoods. ✅ A BIG thank you to The Rounds for volunteering and donating nutritious food to support our neighbors in need. We couldn’t do this work without you! ✅ There’s still time to support Mama-Tee Fridge this holiday season. Visit mamateefridge.com for more information. Season’s greetings to all! #mamateefridge #helpingothers #holidaygiving #givingback #socialimpact #csr #supportcommunities

🌟 Welcome to Week #219 of The Friday Feature - Giving Back! 🌟 This past week has shown the incredible power of community in the face of adversity. Our area was hit hard by two severe thunderstorms within just 12 hours, one of which included tornadoes with an EF-3 rating. Despite multiple-day power outages, first responders, utility workers, business owners, and community members all came together, demonstrating remarkable resilience and unity. At work, I witnessed an inspiring spirit of cooperation as co-workers and strangers pulled together for a common cause, working tirelessly to restore power to thousands of homes, farms, and businesses. This sense of community and support has truly highlighted the importance of giving back, which I will be doing tomorrow by joining friends and new acquaintances on the golf course to support 18ForeLife. I don't play golf often, but this event is special – 18ForeLife donates every penny raised to local families battling cancer, providing $1,000 "love offerings" with no questions asked. To date, the organization has given away over $3 million! 👉 If you're reading this or watching the video, remember that each of us has the power to help someone else. Sometimes it's as simple as a wave, a smile, or a pat on the back. If you're fortunate enough to make a financial contribution, I encourage you to find a cause that speaks to you and give today. Let's celebrate our blessings by being a blessing to others. 🌟 https://lnkd.in/gCM_RKZa #GivingBack #Community #18ForeLife #Blessings #Support #TogetherWeCan #KeepPushingForward and #LeadWithYourHeart

Winning together
This month, Gridiron Capital LLC had the honor of volunteering with Person to Person, a nonprofit that helps families and individuals achieve stability through food, clothing, housing assistance, and economic opportunities. Giving back to our community is a value we hold close, and our volunteering event was a meaningful way for our team to begin the holiday season. As Thanksgiving approaches, we reflect on the partnerships that make our work possible. To our management teams, investors, advisors, and the Gridiron family – thank you for your trust and collaboration. We wish you and your loved ones a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. #WinningTogether #GridironCapital #Gratitude #Thanksgiving
