At #ASCO24, Bailey Nelson, MD, and team submit findings on the impact of whole pelvis radiation therapy (WPRT) on gut microbiota and chronic GI toxicity. The study highlights that patients with higher levels of Akkermansia muciniphila, a mucin-degrading bacteria, experience milder GI symptoms post-radiation. This study used LungQ BA, VERA and mucus plug quantification to assess airway and lung changes at the segmental level before and after ETI therapy. The results show clinically relevant reductions in bronchial wall thickness even at the segmental level, in LAR, and in mucus plugs for the whole lung, with considerable heterogeneity in response between segments. Hi there. Here is the latest case of subocclusive ischemic CAD diagnosed by CCTA in an asymptomatic 68-year-old patient with positive Ex_ECG stress test for inducible subendocardial ischemia at medium to high external load. Ready for percutaneous myocardial revascularization. And with this last patient, over 200 cases have been diagnosed in the last 20 years with a positive maximal stress test followed and confirmed by CCTA as a candidate for invasive coronarography for possible revascularization.
