Stable and consistent regulatory frameworks are essential for these industries to thrive. We will highlight how direct electrification with renewable, clean, and affordable energy is the only viable pathway to decarbonize Europe while ensuring energy security, especially in uncertain political times. Synthetic fuels, in comparison, fail to offer the same reliability, are more costly, and significantly less energy-efficient. 🌞🇨🇭 Switzerland Innovates: Removable PV Plant on Railway Tracks! 🚆 I’m excited to share that Switzerland has taken a significant step towards sustainable energy by authorizing a removable photovoltaic (PV) plant to be installed on railway tracks. This innovative approach not only maximizes land use but also showcases the potential for integrating renewable energy into existing infrastructure. Key Highlights: 🔄 Removable Technology: The PV system is designed to be easily relocated, minimizing disruption while allowing for continued energy production. 🌱 Sustainable Transportation: This initiative supports the Swiss commitment to reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector, aligning with broader climate goals. 🌍 Dual Use of Space: Utilizing railway tracks for solar energy generation demonstrates a creative solution to land scarcity, paving the way for similar projects in urban areas. 🇮🇹 The Italian #solarPV market is #ReadyToBuild. That was the clear message at Italia Solare’s annual forum this week in #Rome. #Italy is a solar leader, with 35 GW of installed capacity, and pioneering innovations in #agriPV, manufacturing and recycling as well as policy and regulation to kick the country’s #solarrevolution into the next gear. By 2027, it will be obligatory for renovated commercial buildings to have #rooftop solar, as well as developing #green mortgages for solar. Our CEO Sonia Dunlop was honoured to present global insights at this important conference, including how Italy can play an important role in achieving #3xRenewables with solar and other key #renewableenergy technologies.
