This week, I had the pleasure of virtually attending an insightful webinar on the patient experience in the workplace. Creating more inclusive workplaces for employees of all abilities is a key motivation behind my study of I/O Psychology, so this topic was particularly relevant to me. The panelists offered a realistic view of the challenges faced by employees with chronic illnesses or those who identify as disabled in the workplace. They also provided actionable recommendations for both employers and employees to foster a more inclusive work environment. As a talent acquisition specialist, I see firsthand the importance of inclusivity in attracting and retaining top talent. I firmly believe that organizations committed to understanding and supporting all employees will build a robust workforce dedicated to their success. I encourage you to watch the webinar recording if you have the opportunity in the coming weeks. Thank you Unum Co. for this valuable information!

“The #mothers are not okay” is a statement I’ve seen a lot lately. It’s both saddening, and as research highlights, it’s correct. For #mentalhethawarenessmonth, I’m sharing a piece on how we can reduce stress, and improve #mentalhealth and physical health for #workingparents. The Tools of Cooperation offer a framework for how employers can lead effective change to benefit health and their businesses. Because when employees aren’t okay, neither are employers. The problem is especially critical for #healthcare. It can be better. Let’s make it that way together. To wrap up #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, Ann-Somers Hogg shares a piece on #maternalstress and how we can alleviate it. #Culture and employment are big drivers, which means employers have #leadership tools at their disposal to both reduce stress and improve company performance. #maternalhealth #maternalmentalhealth https://lnkd.in/ekHDBy9d
