One element often overlooked in EU-funded public transport initiatives is the Dissemination and Communication Plan. While the technical aspects of these projects grab the spotlight, effective communication is the key to unlocking their true potential. A robust dissemination strategy ensures that valuable findings, innovations, and lessons learned are shared with stakeholders, communities, and the broader public. It fosters transparency, engages citizens, and builds trust—essential components for successfully implementing any public transport initiative. We approached this task with utmost seriousness from day one, successfully establishing our project as a strong brand through the consistent application of visual identity and supporting materials. The Deliverable 'Plan for communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities', written by WP8 Task leader Eurocities, summarizes the vision, strategy, and plan on how to communicate about and around the project, establishing guidelines for the content and format of communications with various stakeholder groups, channels of communication, and other key groups and platforms to engage. Unsung Heroes of Communication, in UPPER Project EU we treasure your daily contribution and could not agree more with CINEA's Communication Adviser Nikki Johnston's wise words ''Communication is key for transparency, awareness, credibility" Please find the complete deliverable enclosed CIVITAS Initiative NetZeroCitiesEU CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency Yannick Bousse European Commission Francesco Iacorossi Mircea Florin Steriu Peter Staelens Andrew Kennedy Alex Godson #UpperProjecEU 🇪🇺

🌍 The European Commission has warmly welcomed the provisional political agreement on the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA), reached between the European Parliament and the Council. This landmark accord marks a pivotal moment in the EU's journey towards climate neutrality by 2050 and underscores our commitment to becoming a global leader in clean technologies. The NZIA will play a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness and resilience of the European industry, while also fostering the creation of green, quality jobs. 🔋 Empowering the Clean Energy Transition The Act establishes a bold target for the EU to cover at least 40% of its expected demand for net-zero technologies by 2030 through domestic manufacturing. It aims to create a favorable regulatory environment to attract investments in technologies and projects critical for decarbonization, notably in solar PV, wind energy, batteries, and sustainable alternative fuels, among others. 🏭 Strategic Projects and Investment Acceleration The agreement also introduces innovative measures to boost net-zero manufacturing investments and projects: Simplified regulatory environment and faster permitting processes for net-zero technologies. Introduction of Net-Zero Acceleration Valleys to facilitate clusters of net-zero industrial activity. A strategic objective to achieve 50 million tonnes of CO2 injection capacity in the EU by 2030 for CO2 storage. Enhanced market access for net-zero products, with sustainability and resilience criteria for public procurement and renewable energy auctions. 📚 Fostering Skills, Innovation, and Collaboration The Act envisions the establishment of Net-Zero Industry Academies to support workforce upskilling and mobility within the EU. It encourages industry investment in education and training and sets the stage for regulatory sandboxes to test innovative net-zero technologies. 🤝 Net-Zero Europe Platform: A Hub for Coordination and Investment A central Net-Zero Europe Platform will be created to serve as a coordination hub, fostering information exchange and supporting investment initiatives across the EU. 🚀 Next Steps Following political agreement reached, formal approval by the European Parliament and the Council is awaited. Once adopted, the NZIA will enter into force the day after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU, marking a new era of sustainable industrial development. #NetZeroIndustryAct #EU #ClimateNeutrality #CleanTech #SustainableEurope #GreenDeal #europeancommission #europeancouncil #europeanparliament https://lnkd.in/dQPsSYxw

In Horizon Europe projects, understanding the difference between communication and dissemination is key to maximizing impact. While communication focuses on engaging the public and raising awareness through storytelling and accessible narratives, dissemination targets professionals, sharing detailed knowledge, data, and research findings to promote further innovation. Both are vital, but their audiences and purposes differ. Communication runs throughout the project, keeping the public informed, while dissemination often continues after the project ends, ensuring that knowledge is shared for future advancements. The visual below - by NETO Innovation - highlights these distinctions clearly. #HorizonEurope #Dissemination #Communication #NETOInnovation
