Under the direction of the 62nd Medical Brigade Commander, the #H2F Human Performance Team created a Mindful Marksmanship Training class to increase lethality and readiness. This training enhances shooting skills, confidence, and comfort with assigned weapons systems before stepping onto the range by blending different ergonomics and mindfulness techniques. Listen to America's First Corps (I Corps), 62nd Medical Brigade Occupation Therapist Daniel Bell discuss the program and its successes.

Some of the worst technique I've witnessed. These Airmen need at least another 40 hours of colors training. Where are the NCOs? Why are there four barely trained A1Cs? This is a leadership FAILURE. The BHG NCOIC needs retraining and, most likely, the whole team does as well and it needs to happen right now. Stand down for the next week and do nothing other than colors all days, every day. Squadron leadership, provide lunch each day so the BHG doesn't need to leave shack and optimizes their day. After 40 solid hours of colors training, only then, should certification be considered. After the week of colors training, the next week you must master firing party and pallbearers. That can be a series of afternoons and mornings split up. Firing party in the afternoons with pallbearers, casket carry and flag fold, each morning. USAF - you are failing to support the ceremonial units that each base disregards until you really need them and expect the highest level of excellence. ❌Wrong technique. ❌Unknown technique. ❌Bad coordination with ceremony POC - which is POC's fault. That looooooooooooooooooong snare roll was not necessary at all. ❌Ribbons and badges under the colors harness. 👉Having noted that, it also needs to be noted that there are stanchions for wreaths to the right of the posted flags (that are in the correct order). The colors team may also double as wreath attenders. If so, a complete uniform would be more appropriate. #MakeBaseHonorGuardGreatAgain 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals! “In June 2024, the Deputy Joint Task Force Commander of Combined Joint Task Force Jazira Yazi (CJTF-JY), Field Marshal Muhammad Al Saad, conducted battlefield circulation of US Military Police Operations in country. Even though the US units were informed of his arrival, he was mistaken as a High Value Target and momentarily detained at a Traffic Control Point. Upon his release, the US units refused to give him access to vital sites he needed to assess for ongoing operations. He was finally given access after his aide, a US MAJ, arrived to explain who he was and what he was doing there." This scenario occured at Praetorian Warrior 24 our Battalion's Field Training Exercise (FTX), and showcased how we are able to teach leaders critical concepts of Combined, Joint, Allied, and Partner status. By adding unplanned highly trained role players in an immersive environment, we can teach nuanced concepts from within the confines of the scenario. How do you create unique opportunities to train your Soldiers or employees using story? Pic- Example of an MP detaining an individual during training.

Yet another batch of Specialist Cadets graduating! In this photo, are the Military Expert instructors who have been guiding them along their 6-month learning journey in the Basic Specialisation Course 1. Many have asked me, what is a military expert? - to which I always draw a parallel of the military to the healthcare sector. Personnel in both military and healthcare are professionals with a unique set of ethos and values. Personnel in both are highly trained in "daily operations" and also well prepared to handle crises. While SAF officers are akin to doctors - giving the strategic directions, making decisions and taking responsibility for these decisions - the SAF military experts are somewhat like the specialists and nurses in the healthcare sector. They pride themselves in their deep expertise and operational experience, partnering the officers in the last mile execution of military operations. The senior ones even provide much needed advice and counsel to Commanders, who usually may not have time to understand ground issues in depth and breadth. I am indeed proud to be leading a team of military experts to advance leadership and core sailor skills training for the Navy. The Navy's military expert curriculum focuses not just on vocational expertise, but also on resilience and leadership - and this group of instructors are the passionate and dedicated ones who drives it all. #nsss #leadership
