🚀 Exciting Publication Alert! 🔬 We're thrilled to share that our colleagues Maximilian Brodbeck, Franziska Egli, Marlon Suditsch, Dr.-Ing. Seyed Morteza Seyedpour, and Tim Ricken have published a new article in Example and Counterexample! 🎉📖 Their research delves into the complexity of porous materials. By comparing different models, the team uncovers critical insights into numerical modelling for these materials—highlighting trade-offs between computational cost and solution stability. 🔹 Why is this important? Simplified models can increase numerical efficiency but come with limitations. Their study reveals differences, especially under extreme conditions such as rapid consolidation and elongations beyond 3%, and shows that simplified models carry an inherent mass error.
