"Low Pressure Crankshaft" It is well known that Cosworth adopted so called "Low Pressure Crankshaft" in their DFV Formula One engines in 1970s, as described in a book "Power to Win: Design, Development and Achievements of the Ford Cosworth DFV, DFX, DFL and DFY V8 Racing Engines". It seems that BRM adopted this concept, off-center drilling, in their V8 crankshaft a decade earlier, in 1960s as mentioned in this web page. https://lnkd.in/eGf7h7G8 Now I wonder seeing 1950s' Lancia D50 engine's cross section drawing from another book "Lancia and De Virgilio: At the Centre", crankshaft seems with off-center drilling. I really appreciate if someone can tell me whether D50 crankshaft adopted low pressure crankshaft two decades earlier than famous Cosworth DFV.

🔴 Aluminum Oil Pan for 1.8 / 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3 Engines 🔴 👉 https://lnkd.in/dh8aRHEJ The reinforced aluminum oil pan, compared to the factory plastic one, offers a solution due to its greater thermal conductivity and improved reliability for racing use. It addresses one of the biggest reliability and safety issues of the EA888.3 engines, as in case of engine damage, the stock oil pan breaks, causing all the oil to spill onto the ground, which risks the car slipping—a crucial advantage. The second advantage is that it prevents fire after the oil pan breaks or cracks, and also stops the engine from running without oil. The factory made it from plastic because it's cheaper to produce, but the advantages of an aluminum oil pan truly make it worth the cost to the fullest "Welcome to the next level of motorsport"
