Moms, I see you out there. Conflicted. Excited. Maybe nervous. Maybe you’re counting down the days til school starts. You’re ready for the routine. The freshness and newness of a new school year! 🏫 Or, maybe you’re wishing it would stay summer a little longer. Maybe, you feel like you didn’t enjoy summer as much as you wanted to. You didn’t do all the fun things you wanted like family bike rides to get ice cream. More time in the pool. More time simply hanging out together. 🚲🍦 Or you’re some combination of both. That’s me. I’m ready for the routine. But also wish we could have just a few more weeks. I’ve bought the school supplies, but there’s still plenty of clothes shopping that needs to happen this Fall. And I have a middle schooler this year. It’s a big change for all of us. There are now 2 school drop-offs/pick-ups. 2 school activity calendars to keep track of. I think we’re ready. As long as she can remember her locker combo and easily open it every day, I think she’ll be ok. 🚗 Also, it’s not all on you. It’s not on you to do all the school registration, buy all the supplies, or the new shoes. Get your partner involved. Or your kids. 🎒 And, if you’re not sure how to do that, let’s talk. I have a new group coaching program rolling out in September. It could be just what you need! #strideproductivity #workingmom #workingmomlife #workingmomlifebalance #workingmothers #mompreneur #mompreneurlife #mompreneurlifestyle #fairplayfacilitator #fairplaylife #mentalload #mentalloadofmotherhood #workingmomproblems #workingmomstruggles #backtoschool #backtoschool2024

📚 Summer Break is Over - How Parents Can Tackle the New School Year Together: 1. Sync Your Schedules: Sit down together and map out everyone's commitments. Include school, work, extracurriculars, and family time. Use a shared digital calendar to stay on the same page. 2. Divide and Conquer: Assign clear responsibilities for school-related tasks. Who's packing lunches? Who's handling drop-offs? 3. Establish New Routines: Create morning and evening routines that work for everyone. Include time for homework, family meals, and relaxation. Consistency helps reduce stress for both kids and parents. 4. Plan Quality Time: With busier schedules, intentionally carve out individual, couple and family time. These moments keep you connected amidst the chaos. 5. Communicate Regularly: Check in with each other often. How's everyone coping? What's working? What isn't? Be open to adjusting your approach as needed. 6. Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge when things go smoothly. Did everyone get out the door on time? Did homework get done without a fuss? Celebrate these moments together. Remember, you're a team. Approaching the school year united can turn potential stress into an opportunity for family bonding. It’s not all on you, Mom, to get the kids ready to go back to school. Nor do you need to be the one in charge of everything related to the school year. Let’s take a look at all of this! Maybe your kids start school soon (like mine!) Or maybe you still have some time before they head back. Either way, it’s a good time to start thinking about what this Fall semester will look like. There’s a lot involved in getting the kids registered for school and sports or other after-school activities. Not to mention the supplies, shoes, and clothes. The Fair Play Method is a great tool for helping this time of year feel less stressful (so is working with me!) @fairplaylife Let’s start by looking at who is in charge of the calendar! The calendar keeper is an important role. You and your partner need to figure out who is in charge of the calendar. And, you need to figure out whether this calendar is digital, paper, dry-erase, or some combination that works for everyone in your household! Make sure everyone knows who is in charge of the calendar and how best to add items. You want to make sure everyone knows where they need to be when. And that no one is double or triple-booked! (This is where weekly family meetings can be helpful!) Want to talk more about this! Schedule a call with me and let’s get you ready for this semester! #strideproductivity #workingmom #workingmomlife #workingmomlifebalance #workingmothers #mompreneur #mompreneurlife #mompreneurlifestyle #fairplayfacilitator #fairplaylife #mentalload #mentalloadofmotherhood #workingmomproblems #workingmomstruggles #backtoschool #backtoschool2024

I remember when quitting was one of my options that I always went back to, but once I made up my mind to delete that option from my mind, I no longer use it. Lil Herbie Series is all about the power of positive mindset and showing kids how to overcome challenges with optimism and resilience. Through mentorship, our children book series, school assemblies/initiatives, community outreach, affirmation doll, animated series, and strategic partnerships, we aim to inspire young minds to believe in themselves, stay determined, and understand that persistence is key to achieving their dreams. Helping kids develop a growth mindset and learn that every setback is just a step towards success is one of our goals. Together, we can empower the next generation to embrace their potential and strive for greatness. Believe in yourself. Remember, "Whatever a man thinks, so he is" (Psalm 23:7). Don’t panic! Summer is NOT over yet! However, back-to-school time IS slowly approaching … If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that easing kids into a new school year by setting a consistent routine that you start a few weeks before school begins can make a huge difference in their readiness. 🕰️Slowly bringing their bedtime back to a during-the-school-year hour 🗓️Bedtime + morning routines 📚Daily reading A regular schedule helps kids feel secure and puts them in the right headspace to embrace a new classroom and all that comes with it. So, while there are still plenty of summer weeks to go, now is a great time to be thinking about what changes in your routine may need to be made to get back-to-school ready. What are you most excited about heading into the new school year? #BackToSchool #SetARoutine #DrizzleEffectLearning
