SPEAKERS! Everyone wants to know how to build your client base, they want to know about talking points and power of pause. How should I promote myself, what about head shots and web page - NONE of that matters if you do not have a talk that benefits your audience. Before you do anything: build an excellent talk that your audience can relate to, one that gives solutions to their problems, one that encourages emotion. If you don't have that, then all the promotion in the world will not get you repeat business. For 30 years all of my business has come from my audience. I have not spent a penny on promotion. But it breaks my heart when young speakers want to talk to me about how to promote themselves if you've got a good talk you don't have to promote yourself. Your phone will ring.

Every day, we're inundated with a barrage of advice and offers promising to unlock the secrets to business success: "Attend my free masterclass and learn how to attract high paying clients," or "Join my latest webinar and discover the key to automating your business for guaranteed success." The sheer volume of information bombarding us can feel overwhelming. Yet, much of this messaging seems designed to instill fear—fear of failure if we don't heed their advice. When we find ourselves grappling with challenges in our businesses, we often cling to these promises, hoping they'll provide the magic solution.
