SPEAKERS! Everyone wants to know how to build your client base, they want to know about talking points and power of pause. How should I promote myself, what about head shots and web page - NONE of that matters if you do not have a talk that benefits your audience. Before you do anything: build an excellent talk that your audience can relate to, one that gives solutions to their problems, one that encourages emotion. If you don't have that, then all the promotion in the world will not get you repeat business. For 30 years all of my business has come from my audience. I have not spent a penny on promotion. But it breaks my heart when young speakers want to talk to me about how to promote themselves if you've got a good talk you don't have to promote yourself. Your phone will ring.

Find out what people really think of you😱 But you only have a nanosecond to do it💨 Been enjoying Captivate by Vanessa Van Edwards a guide to winning people over and getting them on your side (I need all the help I can get). One of the concepts that was really interesting is how to see through the emotions we often fake with others. Pretending to be happy when someone buys you socks for Christmas. Feigning interest when someone at a networking event has spent 20 minutes going into minute detail about their business you have zero interest in. But there is a moment of truth. Within one second of someone being confronted with something, they give a micro expression (boredom, disgust etc) that shows how they really feel. Then they crank out the smile. To spot this takes practise and is really an extension of active listening where you’re 100% focussed on the other person, not worrying about what you’re going to say next. I’ve started practising but its hard. Mainly because I’m focussed on what I’m going to say next🙄 Do you think you're good at spotting when people are faking it?

#LinkedInTip This is the one tip that I must give out daily. Voice messaging is wonderful but a wall of blue lines can drive you mad. Which one had the phone number in? Where did she say we were meeting? When is the best time to call? You don’t want to be wasting time listening to all of them. 💡Simple solution. Send voice message, keep it short and try not to send two… Immediately write a few words as a follow up message to give it some context. This morning sent a voice note to Stephen Spencer about his networking event next week with Business Buzz - Local Business Networking Simple message to say I will catch up and looking forward to a a natter. 💡Why not just type it anyway? I think a voice message is a lovely thing to get and voices build realtionships and add some personality. T Some people hate them, I love them. Give your blue line some context, make it easy to do business with you. 🔹Follow, Connect, hit the 🔔 for post notifications 🔹Bookmark profile and save post, 3 dots, top right 🔹Go on, send me a voice note…🗣️🎙️

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀? Try this tip: Video intro messages could be the game-changer you're looking for. Research shows that seeing a friendly face and hearing a genuine voice can break the ice better than plain text. It helps create a memorable first impression, showing personality and enthusiasm that words alone often miss. Here’s why video intros work: • They add a human touch to digital networking. • They convey emotion and authenticity instantly. • They stand out in a sea of text messages. I’m considering trying this myself and would love to hear your thoughts. Have you tried video intros? What results did you see? 🎥 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘐𝘋: 123697276

🌟 Transform Your Connections: The Art of Winning Friends 🤝✨ Here’s one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in life and business: Treat every person you meet like they are the most important person in the world. 🌍 Because in that moment, they are. Every interaction is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build meaningful connections. Too often, we judge people by their cover—by what we see or hear. But what if, instead, we asked: 💡 What can I learn from this person? 💡 How can I bring value to their life with my talents? When I first meet someone, whether a customer, a client, or a stranger, I remind myself of this: Strangers make you rich. 💰 Not just financially, but rich in knowledge, perspectives, and opportunities. That’s why I always recommend the book How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. 📖 It’s a guide to mastering the art of connecting with others and creating genuine relationships. In business and life, your network is your net worth. Relationships are built on understanding, empathy, and a genuine desire to add value. So, next time you meet someone new, don’t judge—approach them with curiosity and respect. 🌟 For more transformative insights like this, follow 👉 @CMRPodcastNetwork 🎙️ Full video Ep 4 Youtube Link: https://lnkd.in/eK5a2npQ #WinFriends #BuildConnections #Networking #CMR #CMRPodcastNetwork #StrangersMakeYouRich #SelfDevelopment #LearnAndGrow #PersonalGrowth

You should read this BECAUSE the information is of value to you. That word “Because” is more important than anything else. It is the start of the answer to the question “Why?” I need a plumber. Why? BECAUSE there is a foot of water on the kitchen floor. I need a new car. Why? BECAUSE my transmission just failed and it is not worth the $$ to fix it. I need help with my message. Why? BECAUSE it is MY business and it is incredibly hard to talk about my own business. “BECAUSE” = Audience Motivation. If your message starts with THEIR motivation, and not YOUR solution…. You preempt their answer to the question “why?” DM me if you want to: - Create the right connection with your audience. - Build a message that speaks to them on their terms. - Convert that engagement to more business. BECAUSE you will stand out from the rest.
