Is there a limit to the size of a ticket that I can submit to CBYD? As a best practice: Yes. CBYD has established a business rule which limits the size of a single ticket's work area to 2500 feet. This keeps the mark out area feasible for utility companies and is a reasonable size for excavation work to be completed in the 30-day life of the ticket. Staying within these limits helps all stakeholders to work together to prevent damages. #DamagePrevention #ExcavationSafety #DigSafe

Pushing casing might be an old method. But modern techniques and technology has really changed this world too. While difficult ground can still pose real issues, boulders and cobbles and split layers will always create their control issues, but having positive information at your fingertips allows for changes before things get out of hand. Traditional methods meant a water level reading or auger pull every 10 or 20 feet. But sometimes that’s all it takes to lose it. While systems like this casing compass, or our guided pilot tube system both take some extra upfront work and increase the costs, we are strong believers that they’re worth the extra efforts and costs to help ensure the success of the bore.
