UC RUSAL has submitted its "Biodiversity Conservation" and "Water Resource Management" reports, marking a significant step towards environmental stewardship. These reports, the first of their kind for RUSAL, outline the Company's approach to conserving biodiversity, managing water resources, and engaging stakeholders. RUSAL's commitment to sustainability aligns with international standards and best practices. For example, this initiative coincides with China's "Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (2023-2030)," which is a scientific guideline for comprehensively improving the level of biodiversity governance. RUSAL is the largest producer of low-carbon aluminum from renewable energy sources, with operations in more than a dozen countries with different natural and climatic characteristics, availability of water resources, and types of risks associated with their use. One of the priority areas of the Company’s sustainability strategy is the protection of these resources through environmental modernization measures, promoting the efficient use of resources, and collaborating with partners and stakeholders to address environmental challenges. #Sustainability #EnvironmentalStewardship #RUSAL

📣🌱 Only through real collaboration can we secure a #NaturePositive economy for all by 2030. It is encouraging to see that ahead of the UN Biodiversity #COP16, the Business for Nature coalition has published a business statement outlining five high-level policy recommendations for governments to accelerate the implementation of the #BiodiversityPlan to drive corporate #Nature action. The statement is endorsed by 130 businesses and financial institutions with combined revenues of $1.1 trillion. I was particularly heartened to see their seventh ask "Ensure sustainable resource use and management to reduce negative environmental impacts through water usage and quality targets." But! Let's see these companies actually put their money where their mouths are and be ardent adopters of all of their asks. 🔗 Find out more: https://bit.ly/COP16pr
