Although the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863, it took more than two years for the news to reach Texas, which was still under Confederate control during the Civil War! She is exactly correct

I like to start by saying I don’t support Kamala or Trump. But this post is so dumb for this platform. I actually want an America where people can express themselves even when it’s not what I like to see, lol this post is ignorant in so many ways here some of my questions: 1- girl on the left is clearly at home and the one on the right is at an event, are you saying we should dress like the girl on the right at home? 2- what if the girl on the left was dressing up for cosplay or dressing up like a character? How do you know that’s her daily attire? 3- what is truly the problem with the girl on the left dress code? Is she showing her body? Is she half naked? Are we saying you merely don’t like her fashion choice? 4- what else do we know from these two that we can judge from? Other then one is clearly at an event and one is at home? Do we know grades? Daily behavior? Do you have testimony of people around them? 5- the one on the left is Kamala step daughter or so you say, so technically she is not raised by her? So does everyone own the results of their step children no matter what age they enter their life? 6-the one on the right looks put together but the question is do we know who dressed her? Does she dress like that normaly? What if she is just puting on a face and hates how she look? So many questions…..

Here's a reality check

This post is what #Trump represents apparently to many. This is the darker side of #MAGA. Politics, leaders, blame, talking points... disagreement and debate are healthy pillars in a #democracy. Vilification, passing judgement, and using innocent people at lightening rods for issues however is wrong. It is wrong morally and ethically. There is a lot wrong with this post. First, the argument is rather childish. Two photos, of two very different people, taken without any context, and used to make some false comparison about, I assume, family values? It's devoid of depth. Secondly, what is the point being conveyed? That somehow, due to attire, one person is judged to be lesser than the other? That a more traditional female look is 'right' and anything contrary is 'wrong'? This man should study more history and examine how female Vikings operated, or how French nobility dress in the 16th century. Perhaps a few books on more ancient cultures where women were in leadership positions. The post highlights profound ignorance, without realising. Thirdly, the post exhibits a mindset grounded in #Christian faith and values. Is this man aware the #bible was written by flawed men? Is this man aware that most of the world is not Christian? Has he any reasoning to what humanity was doing for 20,000 years in countless civilisations all over the world pre dating the arrival of #Jesus? Does he know much of the biblical stories comes from other ancient cultures and stories? Is he aware how silly he looks? I could pick this apart in many other ways, but perhaps the last point central to his post 'what kind of #America' I want would centralise on a simple truth; the America I want has less people who think, act and post like him. I'd like an inclusive, accepting America, rooting in the understanding people come from many cultures, religions, upbringings. An America that understands cultures differ, ethics and morality are fluid topics, and accepting people who are different is how America was historically founded. A rude empty post, from an ignorant mindset, from a narrow man.
