Interesting- but to put into context for every property Grampian Housing Association advertise on These Homes we receive 134 bids per home …. Not sure if this represents a rental crisis- but an over provision of 2 bed flats and the exit of many landlords from the PRS sector will naturally increase the bids for higher quality houses

Apartment price over doubled, townhouses and detached houses price around tripled, but rental price less than doubled? It doesn't make sense - a reasonable guess would be over doubled for rental, because when people cannot afford to own anything, they are pushed to rent and rent may go up faster than owning townhouses or detached houses. A reliable way to do this type of statistics is to compare price of same property - for example rent of the same unit in last a decade, or at least same sqft and layout in same building. Calculating an overall average doesn't make much sense.
