𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 architectural style captivates with its raw, unapologetic aesthetic, marrying concrete's starkness with bold geometric forms. Its essence lies in its honest expression of function and materiality, making a powerful statement in contemporary architecture. Characterized by its emphasis on functionality, exposed materials, and geometric shapes, modern brutalism challenges traditional notions of beauty and invites viewers to confront the raw essence of structure. Its allure lies in its uncompromising authenticity and timeless appeal. #designconcept #TAKTIKDesignThinkingLab

When it comes to classical architecture, the common perception often leans towards heavy ornamentation or an outdated aesthetic. But that's a misconception. Let's deconstruct the name itself—the term 'classical' is derived from 'classic,' which signifies something enduring, timeless, and of high quality. So, it's not about being old-fashioned or passé, but rather elegance and longevity. Classical architecture is defined by its principles of symmetry, proportion, geometry, and harmony. Ornamentation, while present in some examples, isn't a defining characteristic. What makes classical architecture so enduring is its focus on balance, order, and simplicity—elements that should continue to inspire modern design. #architecture #classicalarchitecture #designthinking #architects

🌿 **Art Meets Architecture: Designing with Nature in Harmony** 🎨 This incredible artwork, with its serene lotus-filled landscape and meditative sculptures, made me think deeply about the relationship between architecture and nature. As architects, how often do we pause to reflect on whether our designs are in harmony with the natural world around us? The intricate details and balance in this piece remind me that great design isn't just about aesthetics—it's about creating spaces that coexist with the environment, just as effortlessly as the elements in this artwork do. 💬 **What do you think?** 👉 Can art like this inspire us to design with nature in mind? 👉 How would you incorporate this sense of balance and peace into architectural projects? I’d love to hear how you approach harmony in your design work! #ArtAndArchitecture #DesignWithNature #SustainableArchitecture #ArchitectureInspiration #CreativeHarmony

Louis Kahn’s quote, "The Sun does not realize how wonderful it is until after a room is made," captures the profound connection between architecture and light, and how space shapes our experience of nature. Kahn sir suggests that sunlight, in its purest form, may go unnoticed. But when it enters a room—framed by walls, doors, and windows—it becomes something more meaningful, shaping shadows, illuminating textures, and bringing a sense of warmth and liveliness to the space. The room acts as a canvas that reveals the sun’s potential, making the light tangible and purposeful. In architecture, this interplay between light and space transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, creating an experience that is not only visual but also emotional. In essence, Kahn is saying that the art of architecture lies in crafting spaces that allow natural elements, like sunlight, to express themselves fully. The room becomes a medium through which we can truly "see" and appreciate the beauty of light, and by extension, the beauty of life itself.

How does light influence traditional Eastern architecture? In Eastern design, light is more than a practical feature—it's integral to the cultural and aesthetic experience. Traditional Japanese homes use shoji screens to softly diffuse daylight, creating a peaceful ambiance that fosters mindfulness. Similarly, Indian havelis feature intricate window carvings that cast mesmerizing patterns, enriching the living space with dynamic light and shadow play. These elements reflect a deep connection to nature and emphasize harmony within the home. Light in Eastern architecture isn’t just about visibility; it shapes mood, enhances beauty, and aligns with cultural values. How do you incorporate light into your designs? Let’s discuss! #Architecture #Design #EasternArchitecture #LightingDesign #CulturalHeritage #HomeDesign

"The history of architecture is the history of the struggle for light." - Le Corbusier I have seen this quote a lot. Possibly one of the most influential architects in the 20th century, Le Corbusier understood that light, colour and also space are not elements that are seperate in a design but rather they are connected forces which work together. We need to think beyond the surface and consider how light transforms colour and how light and colour interact with textures as well. This can influence how people move and feel in the spaces we create. For sure, finding the right balance can change the entire feel of a room. We spend so much of our working and day to day lives indoors and so we can ask "How can the thoughtful combination of light and colour palettes enhance the environments that we are in?" The “soul” or the “integrity” of a space is often found in just the simple interaction of how colour and light work together. #Architecture #DesignThinking #ColourTheory #LeCorbusier

+Where Art Meets Architecture: A Harmonious Fusion with Nature 🌿 In a world where the boundaries between art, nature, and architecture are increasingly blurred, this artwork serves as a stunning example of what happens when these elements come together. This piece beautifully integrates architectural forms with natural landscapes, seamlessly blending the built environment with the untouched beauty of the wilderness. The soft, earthy tones and organic shapes of the buildings mirror the surrounding mountains, while the presence of wildlife reminds us of the delicate balance between progress and preservation. Such integration not only elevates the aesthetic value of our spaces but also deepens our connection with the environment. It is a powerful reminder that architecture should not stand apart from nature but should coexist with it, enhancing our experience of both the natural and the man-made worlds. As we move forward in designing the spaces of tomorrow, let this serve as inspiration to create environments that are not only functional and innovative but also respectful and in harmony with the natural world around us. #ArtAndArchitecture #SustainableDesign #NatureInspired #BuiltEnvironment #UrbanDesign #ArchitecturalArt SPECTRUM Architecture Soodabeh Kordi
