Size does matter! Imagine kicking off your party with a large format, magnum wine bottle instead of the usual 750ml. It would easily be the star of the night! When it comes to a bottle of wine, the bigger it is, the better the overall experience. What’s special about a magnum bottle ? 1️⃣Perfect for Celebrations A large format bottle of wine will make your party one to remember, more so if the magnum is a Brut Champagne cuvee or some other sparkling wine. 2️⃣Lets Wine Age Well and It Tastes Better Large format bottles have slower oxidation, and wine is preserved for longer, making a magnum bottle ideal for aging. 3️⃣Higher Priced, But More Value for Money These exclusive, celebratory bottles of wine will always get a crowd going. They’re also age-worthy and guarantee very high quality. Having a dinner party? Here’s a tip: Your standard bottle will only be sufficient for four guests with two and a half pours of wine per person. If you have a larger group, having more 750ml bottles of wine is one option, but you can never be sure they taste the same! Instead, if you uncork a magnum bottle, 10 guests can enjoy at least one glass of wine — all tasting exactly the same. So, let me know in the comments below does size matter to you? Cheers! #sonalholland #masterofwine #magnum #winebottle #sizematters #magnumwine #winetip #wineexpert

Does the price tag define the wine's worth? 💰 ▫️ Fact check: while expensive wines can be exquisite, price alone doesn't guarantee a taste extravaganza. Various factors, like grape quality, winemaking techniques, and personal preferences, play a crucial role in the wine game. ▫️ So, here's the verdict: quality isn't always correlated with the price tag. Explore, taste, and find your palate's sweet spot, whether it's in a budget-friendly bottle or a splurge-worthy sip. Is this gospel truth or a corked-up myth? #martinswineadvisor #wineconsultores #wineexperts #wineadvisor #wineadvisor #weknowwine

- Clarity is key as wine should always be clear and brilliant in color. (Natural wines can be the exception.) A cloudy wine could be an indication of a wine fault or that something went wrong during the winemaking process. - Color can give you an idea of the climate in the region where the wine is from. Color can also indicate the age of a wine. - A wide color variation of the rim can indicate that the wine in your glass is an older wine, while a tight or non-discernable variation can indicate that you are about to enjoy a young wine. #tastingtuesday #bionicbottles #bionic #winemakers #newyork #wine #femaleownedbusiness #koreanownedbusiness #winemakerslife #newyorkcity #newyorklife #newyorknewyork #winelover #drinkwine #winemoments #welovewine #wineinstagram #winesofinstagram

If you love the wine, it’s okay to break a few rules. The first rule of wine pairing is to drink a wine that you enjoy. That said, here’s a few thoughts on picking your next perfect wine for your meal: Light flavors & textures generally call for lighter wines, so think chicken, turkey, and fish. Fuller, darker, deeper flavors and textures are best paired with full-bodied wines. Extremely hot, spicy foods do well with low alcohol, high-acid white wines with some sweetness to them to offset the spice. When all else fails, uncork a few and do an impromptu tasting! If nothing else, it will be a great topic for conversation. Share your thoughts on your favorites in the comments! https://buff.ly/3rQ7qwx #winepairing #barreloak #winerules

🍷 Would you like my top 90 wine choices? 🍷 I do love my wines. And they are not all expensive either. To me, a great wine is a wine that YOU LOVE. 🫵 It’s not about price at all. Some of my absolute favorite picks are $15 a bottle as a great dinner table wine. I want to share with you my list of wines that I have gathered over the last decade plus. These are my absolute favorites out of who knows how many. 😂 😇 Not in any order either. So here we go! Pascual Toso Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Notes and a bit more about this wine! This complex, yet well-balanced wine presents an elegant style with hints of boysenberry and raspberry fruit, and vanilla, spice, and chocolate shadings too. This wine is very sweet, with consistent tannins, and a lengthy, focused finish. Ideal match for red meats (especially lamb), pasta and fine French cheeses. Great wine and it’s priced at around $15.99 depending on where you get it. I highly recommend this wine. I hope you found this helpful in choosing a great wine! DRINK, BE MERRY & GO BE AWESOME!! Have you ever wondered how to evaluate a 🍷 wine like an expert? For the next few weeks we’ll be looking at the steps pros use when evaluating a glass of wine: Sight, Smell, and Taste. Sight: 👀 Look straight down into the glass, then hold the glass to the 💡 light, then roll the wine around by tilting the glass. Certain grapes have a particular color and scent. If you see a brown or rusty color in your wine, that is generally not a good sign. Is the wine clear, or murky? Points for clarity, good color and a little sparkle! Does your wine have “legs” when you 🌀 swirl it? That’s usually an indication of a bigger, more robust wine with more alcohol. Very interesting and instructive. We often do a version of this with our sales & admin teams at Freixenet Mionetto USA comparing competitive DOC brands with own DOC Treviso, & DOCG brands Superiore DOCG Valdobbiadene, Cartizze DOCG. All things being equal, one of the greatest variables is freshness. The long standing practice of bottling to order at Mionetto SPA, in Valdobbiadene, guarantees that the wines arriving in the USA, 4 or 5 weeks later, will be as fresh as possible - with bright pear-like, & stone-fruit aromas. Also fun is comparing the Prosecco from Valdobbiadene & Conegliano. The former generally more fruity, the latter generally more minerally. #Prosecco #Valdobbiadene #Blindtasting
Anyone stumbling into The Leopard at des Artistes restaurant in Manhattan on a recent June day may have wondered if a wine cult was engaging in a bizarre ritual. Sitting side-by-side with our eyes covered in black blindfolds, our hands clumsily grasping for glasses filled with Prosecco, there’s no denying we were an unusual sight to behold. Visit my Substack newsletter to read more about Tasting in the Dark: A Sensory Journey event. https://lnkd.in/eyQqPEpS The tasting was led by Dr. Hoby Wedler, Ph.D. in organic chemistry. An avid wine lover, Dr. Wedler has been blind since birth. During the tasting, he guided us through honing in on our other senses to evaluate the wines. What an experience! #wine #blindtasting #prosecco
