We may have to wait a little bit longer before taking bottled water through airport security 💧 UK airports are set to extend the installation of new security scanners until 2025, postponing the original June 2024 deadline due to concerns from major airports like Heathrow, London Gatwick, and Manchester Airport, alongside global supply chain shortages. These state-of-the-art CT scanners, already operational at London City Airport and Teesside International Airport, utilise advanced X-ray technology to produce clearer, 3D images. Allowing items to remain in bags and increasing the liquid limit in hand luggage to two litres. The delay is sure to frustrate frequent travellers, especially those who need to get from A to B quickly – but what do you think of the news? #TravelUpdates #UKTravel #TravelNews #ACETravel #ATG

CROWD MANAGEMENT : Are we prepared? Every space has a limit to accommodate people safely. Allowing more individuals than the limit can cause chaos—entry must be regulated in batches of 25. Establish clear movement directions: entry, movement, stopping, and exit points to guide the crowd effectively. Different crowd types—peaceful gatherings, armed groups, or high-speed movements—require distinct monitoring for safety. Sudden rumors, firecrackers, or piled-up stones can incite panic; swift communication and rumor control are vital. Ensure roads remain clear by designating ground spaces for gatherings, where people queue in an orderly fashion. Compulsory arrangements for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)—ramps, priority pathways, and clear access—must be implemented at all public places. Adopt the best modern practices: AI surveillance, drones, and trained personnel for seamless management. While people have the right to protest, law, order, and public safety must always prevail, ensuring peaceful and secure assemblies for all. Checklists here. #disastermanagement #crowdmanagement
