Ocean Energy Europe (OEE) has appointed CorPower Ocean CEO Patrik Möller as Co-President for a second term. He will be joined by Head of Business development for HYDROQUEST, Guillaume Gréau.   “I am looking forward to continuing supporting Ocean Energy Europe and Rémi Gruet’s excellent team, who are working relentlessly to bring ocean energy to the world. This is possibly the largest untapped source of clean energy on earth, so an important mission. It is a very exciting time seeing the first ocean energy farms getting financed in Europe, and the growing pipeline of commercial projects in development. Our key ask to Europe and member states is to put in place the revenue support schemes to scale up the industry and have the first 1 GW installed, as per the EU Offshore Renewable Strategy target. We Must Not Change Course! Sam Salustro, Vice President of Strategic Communication at Oceantic Network, highlights the transformative impact of the offshore wind industry. Amid election concerns, the real progress and groundwork in offshore wind are crucial to remember. This industry is not just coastal; it's revitalizing communities from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico, bringing $33 billion in investment and thousands of jobs. This summer, Ørsted’s Revolution Wind and Sunrise Wind, Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW), and Vineyard Wind 1 will add 5 GW of clean energy to the grid, powering 1.75 million homes and businesses. With over $23 billion in investments and 3,700 jobs, the supply chain spans 37 states, readying for an additional 9 GW of federally approved projects. Vicky Roberts, Director of Business Development at Empire Energy Partners, added: "The offshore wind industry's growth is not only a testament to our commitment to sustainable energy but also to the economic opportunities it brings to various regions.
