What food trends will shape 2025? Eating habits and consumer expectations are constantly evolving – and the food industry is innovating to keep up. In 2025, the focus is on sustainability, health-promoting products, and the application of new technologies. At Fazer, we believe oats and whole grains are at the heart of this transformation. 🌱 Ingredient quality in focus: Consumers are paying more attention to the quality of the ingredients in their food. 🌎Embracing Plant-Based Eating: A Journey of Health and Sustainability. 🏝Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey toward a plant-based lifestyle or perhaps a plant strong lifestyle? 🏖Here are practical steps to help you transition from being a non-vegetarian to a vibrant, compassionate eater: 🏝Start Small, Dream Big: Begin by setting achievable goals. Maybe it’s replacing one meat-based meal per day with a plant-based alternative. Gradually expand your repertoire as you gain confidence. 🥑Bite-Sized Changes: Break down your transition into manageable steps. Swap dairy milk for almond or oat milk, or try a lentil-based burger instead of chicken. Each small change adds up! 🥕Celebrate Milestones: Celebrate your progress! Whether it’s completing a meatless week or mastering a new vegan recipe, acknowledge your achievements. Share them with friends and family—it’s contagious! 🥦Tackle the Toughest First: Remember the “Eat the Frog” principle. Start your day with the most challenging plant-based task. Maybe it’s resisting that tempting cheese pizza or finding a satisfying tofu scramble recipe. 🥬The 20% Effort Rule: Don’t overwhelm yourself. Aim for progress, not perfection. Even if you’re 20% plant-based, you’re making a difference. Celebrate every veggie-filled plate! 🫒Begin Now: No more procrastination! Your health and the planet are counting on you. Start today—explore new veggies, experiment with plant-based proteins, and savor the flavors of nature. #Greenpoint #savetheplanet #environment #GreenHealth #GreenHealthIntegrativeProject #TogetherTowardsTomorrow #PlantBasedLife #HealthyChoices #SustainableEating #VeggieJourney 🌱🌎

Our weekly supermarket haul! 🛒🥬🍎🥩 While we're definitely meat lovers and enjoy it several times a week, our shopping cart tells a more balanced story. As you can see, it's brimming with vibrant fruits, crisp vegetables, and protein-rich alternatives like eggs and cheese. This approach to eating - where plant-based foods take center stage but meat still plays a supporting role - offers numerous benefits: 💰 Budget-friendly: Seasonal produce and plant proteins often cost less than meat, helping to stretch our grocery budget further. 💚 Eco-conscious: A diet rich in plants generally has a lower environmental footprint. By reducing (not eliminating) our meat consumption, we're taking small steps to lower our carbon footprint. 💪 Health-boosting: Fruits and vegetables provide essential nutrients, antioxidants, and fiber that support overall wellness. Combined with lean meats and other proteins, it's a recipe for balanced nutrition. 🍽️ Culinary creativity: This diverse mix of ingredients inspires us to try new recipes and keep our meals exciting. 🌱 Sustainability: Supporting a variety of food producers, including local farmers, contributes to a more resilient food system. Our approach isn't about strict rules or completely giving up foods we love. I’m happy to share that I’ve just completed the "Food Sustainability, Mindful Eating, and Healthy Cooking" specialisation provided by Stanford University and Coursera! This program focused on mindful eating, preparing meals with natural ingredients, and, most importantly, making sustainable food choices that reduce our environmental footprint. The sustainability aspect stood out to me the most, as the food system is today one of the most impactful sectors on the planet. Take-home messages: 🍃Sustainable eating benefits both our health and the planet. 🍃Reducing meat and dairy consumption can lower our environmental impact. 🍃Exploring plant-based alternatives and responsibly sourced seafood helps protect ecosystems. 🍃Local, seasonal foods and cutting down on packaging support eco-friendly habits. This course deepened my understanding of how sustainable nutrition can make a real difference. I also gained valuable skills in behavioral nutrition, which allows me to guide others in making healthier, more intentional food choices. I’m looking forward to applying these insights in my work to promote both healthy eating and sustainable living. #sustainablenutrition #foodsystems #environmentalhealth
